cumtown gone.
Cya reddit
Cumtown sub was littered with incel types good riddance.
The mourning on the Facebook group is the most small dicked display in the history of podcasts.
:edit: Jesus the new forum will be 8 chan mk2 in a week.

I still don't know what 'cumtown' is and I don't think I want to find out.
The podcast itself is fine and the 3 of them are very talented stand up comics in their own right. Unfortunetly for them they have pathetic following among fellas who simultaneously are all dieing to be their best friends while while posting a constant stream of shit bitching about the podcast. Plenty of inside baseball stuff.
Sounds like the internet only knows one thing.
One of my posts got 5.3k upvotes earlier this week.

Makes our Barry's quest for prominence there quite interesting.
Reddit is proper shit these days. Are there any decent alternatives?
The Third Half dot co dot UK.
I’ve found Reddit to be a totally unreliable place for even niche communities.
For any given discussion you can have one supposed expert wade in with their authoritative take (cue loads of upvotes), only for someone else to wade in a little while later to explain that the truth is actually the total opposite of what they said. And then a third person comes in with their credentials to explain it’s really a bit of both. All that makes it hard to value any actual discussion. I do get good lols out of some of the videos on the front page each morning though.
Dedicated forums are the best place for discussions on niche topics.
Reddit is the best suffix to most google searches on specialist topics. That or the 4chan archives.
What's our niche? The Dugout?
I think if you asked everyone what they all thought the general vibe/atmosphere of this place was, you'd get vastly divergent answers, but it still just works somehow.
Every other 'web community' I've dipped my toes in has had a proper homogeneous gloop of a userbase, even on broad sites like Reddit. It's probably just a mutual Stockholm syndrome, but I like it.
The VIBE here is - for serious lack of a better word - intimacy.
That's probably the closest we'll ever get to an earnest, #teamsensitive @Lewis post. I think you're right tbf.
It probably helps that we're a very web 1.0 middle ground between anonymous random usernames on a subreddit and your FB feed of actual IRL friends and family etc. The fact this place ain't real let's people freely say honest and embarrassing shit, but the fact we all sort of know each other makes it actually mean something. I find it weird that forums like this are such anachronistic relics, cus I reckon they offer something v different to subreddits and FB groups etc.
It's a matter of time spent and scale. How anyone navigates giant Reddit threads fuck me you might as well be a YouTube commenter.
I've commented on the same youtube video years apart without realising before.
There's 2 things going on here from my perspective.
1) This place more or less raised me. I come from a shitty town, grew up on a shitty council estate, went to a shitty school, was raised by an alcoholic dad that managed to kill himself and a devoted mum that spent years fighting cancer. This place was a window to another world during my impressionable and depressing teenage years, and it no doubt played apart in stopping me from following alot of my old friends into addiction, crime and prison.
2) from a wider perspective, I fucking hate shouting into a void. What's the point in Reddit and Twitter really? You might have the odd good discussion, but then you go your way separate ways. It's like a nightclub toilet. Occasionally good things happen, but there's a permanent smell of excrement and you'll never actually get to know anyone.
Thought I was watching Britain's Got Talent for a minute there.
3) The immediate corrections for getting above yourself. Sorry lads.
I just come here so that I don't miss the references in The Group chat.
I know the impact I've had on you all, I don't regard you as my children lightly but jesus, don't need to melt all over us in a state of the board thread.
There's no intimacy on here lol. It's still just people shouting their opinions into the void.
This sounds like we're gearing towards a meet. Someone prepare the name tags.
Interested to hear more about Spikeys nightclub toilet adventures.
That's adulthood for you. Life is putting the bins out and trying to out-scheme HR.
Really? What with all the getting married, buying houses and having kids shit [and foreign business trips natch] I reckon I know a lot more about most people on here than at any point in the past [not just as a function of accumulated knowledge either] but then I have [1] never known all that much about most users on here as I [2] have no contact with anyone via outside means ie THE GROUP, facebook etc. Well, not since the MSN days.
Get a Brighton meet up sorted at Easter and I'll come along. Either that or we'll have to go to Daws' *what's a German Chateau called?* for the Euros in 2024.
I share more personal stuff on here than I do with 90% of the people I know. It's a great outlet for that sort of thing.
This place offers semi-decent betting tips.
Otherwise, most threads are pretty terrible these days. It's all ego-fueled debates, 'I told you so' posts and tired jokes. Proper shitshow and beyond saving.
Is that a problem? We all have our own boundaries. I don't think any of the 50 odd regulars on here are going to doxx you to the employer you don't have. We haven't even done Magic yet.
RL called PaddyPower on him after that Spreadsheet donning.
There’s a few definitely would. About 50:50 vindictiveness to ‘just for lols’ ratio.
6k and counting.
