It's a fucking stupid measure.
Correct, 17000 deaths over 2 years lol. Not wetting the bed now are we.
You're absolutely fucking thick mate.
No sleep again?
Plenty. Have you got brain damage?
The fit and healthy crew making up a tenth of the death total is a tiny bit grim.
What was your excuse for winding up with lungs like a flatfish? There's probably something you're parents aren't telling you.
There's probably a study to be done there on mental ability and lung health.
I'm guessing he spent months after the divorce sleeping in his car whilst staring intently at his ex-wife's bedroom window. That probably primes pneumonia.
And that exhaust constantly running probably does both.
Daughter tested positive this morning.
(Yes Magic, I tested her when she displayed symptoms harhar)
The brother in law and nephew tested positive within the last week as well. The kid bounced off it inside a day but his dad's still knackered by it. Just my parents seem to have escaped it from the immediate family.
Jab side effects were the same as last time. One day of shivers. I think I finally got to sleep around 3am.
I thought my daughters test was a dud at first, the positive line came up literally immediately. One of my daughters school friends has had the same this morning though.
Still, atleast it's only 5 days now. Unless the rest of us get it too.
We’ve stopped having to isolate at all if you’re a close contact so long as you’ve had it or are vaccinated. And the pubs are still on curfew.
Yeah, same here, but she can't be left home alone, so bar one of us going to the shop or something we may as well all be isolating.
My Sister in Law has opened all her windows and is undergoing a deep clean.
We last saw her New Years Eve. It was not in her house.

Beijing city officials are recommending people stop ordering items to be delivered from overseas, after saying a local woman may have been infected by Omicron after opening a parcel.
They repeated the theory that Covid-19 could be spread internationally on imports of frozen food, something many scientists have questioned.
"They added they found traces of the virus on a package she received."
Traces of Covid found on the possessions of a person with Covid? Well, that settles it.

"Sorry lads, you'll have to drink the Cholera infected water, the bottled stuff is too dangerous"On Saturday, the Pacific island of Tonga was hit by a tsunami.
Now, officials are worried that the international response could bring coronavirus to the Covid-free nation.
Significant damage has been reported on the island, after the eruption of a volcano led to the emergency. But it's unclear how bad things are, as the disaster has affected communications.
"We don't want to bring in another wave - a tsunami of Covid-19," a Tonga official tells the Reuters news agency.
Curtis Tu'ihalangingie, Tonga's deputy head of mission in Australia, is appealing for patience while priorities for aid are decided.
Aid sent to Tonga will need to be quarantined, and foreign personnel will likely not be allowed to leave aircraft, he says
I saw this. These cunts have taken the piss the whole way through and yet no one ever seems to pull them up on anything. Like the point at the beginning of this when they had like 100,000 cases and then all of a sudden literally dropped to none.
While I'm at it their death rate is 0.3 of the total cases they have had which isn't even close to the rest of the world. At least make the numbers look semi realistic

8% year on year growth for some 40 years?
Systemic lying is built in [and largely accepted by everyone else for their own/mutual benefit]

They'll get their comeuppance in the end. We all do.
Their bubble bursting will be bigger than we could've possibly imagined.
Who, China? They’re untouchable.
There is a hint of too big to fail about them. I don't know how they think they can stop Omicron spreading like mad, though.
China have donned the west mad over the last few decades, but the last couple of years they've absolutely taken the piss. They've spent decades hoarding billions upon billions of dollars, then, as the US start printing money to deal with the Chinese made Pandemic, they dump the lot back into circulation, triggering massive inflation and buy all their gold on the cheap. Wake up sheeple.

Bhina.
Aren't they already having some kind of Enron style scandal that could cause chaos?
Evergrande. Billions in the hole.
They've collapsed multiple times in history and will collapse again, particularly if they continue on their current path towards more ethno-authoritarian government. Ultimately all empires need their bourgeoisie/elites to make them the money that pays for everything, and elites like to have freedom to enjoy their status. In the long run that won't work alongside the jackhammer approach of the CCP.
Xi is a particularly monstrous tyrannical figure, probably the worst since Mao. Once he dies/is overthrown you'll see them realise they've fucked it and start inching back the other way. They have a lot of economic influence worldwide (particularly in Africa) but basically zero cultural influence, which counts for quite a lot.
Its economy will slow down/crash and it is still a long, long way off per capita economic parity with proper countries; but China is a four-thousand year old civilisation state, and its people aren't going to start clamouring for democracy any time soon just because that was what happened when European countries reached a certain level of development. Fortunately for them, Europe is clown town and America is sat in the garage with the car running, so they can just wait another thirty years for the ball to pop out rather than forcing anything, although it might be worth having a nibble at Taiwan to test the waters at some point.
Xi will die peacefully in his bed surrounded by loved ones.
The Chinese adore Grandpa Xi.
China's (and over Poverty stricken nations) main brainwave was becoming the production capital of the world. If they go pop, what do we do? Good luck replacing that supply chain with a first world, health & safety, living wage, bank holiday, union rep, VAT, mandatory pension society.
We build back better (tm).
Positive.
Giggles butcher was right.
If it’s any consolation Spikey, my wife is still positive on day 6. The darkest test line on a LFT I’ve ever seen.
My step mum was testing positive on day 11.

Not a 6 incher in the group.
Not had any of them outside work, would brighten up my morning.
Hong Kong about to obliterate every animal in a pet shop after the manager tested positive.
Lads do you reckon we can convince DEFRA that Magic is a Llama with TB?

Great thread with some examples of things the general public were fined for during lockdowns, in context of Boris's continued wriggling.
The 66 year old man being fined for meeting up at his allotments really got me. No matter how much of an 'unknown' the disease may have been, the fact that we were all banned from meeting outside at one point is genuinely insane.
Dunno if I put it on here, but that thread/story about the Scottish GP vaccinator detailing his breach of the rules when he hugged a recently bereaved woman threw into stark contrast the absolute madness and inhumanity of it all. There was a guy (doctor) who the police admonished for going round to his parents house to unsuccessfully administer CPR on his dying father. They then denied his sister access to the house to see her dead dad. I know you won't agree but the police (and those who enable them through snitching) are genuinely a malevolent force fundamentally opposed to free society.
Round them all up and throw them into the sea.
Saw this yesterday. Even with loads of cases this winter, total deaths in over 65's below expected.
I'd say this is why restrictions are getting dropped early but we all know it's Boris trying to save his arse. Requirements to even test and isolate will be abolished soon enough too I reckon.
