I've decided my mission early game is to get Kante. He's a player I always end up building teams around and makes such a difference in the midfield. Going to try and hold off doing dumb SBCs to raise the coins for him over the next few weeks.
Did a bit of Googling and apparently it is a slightly different game on next gen compared to old gen, which is annoying.
During the EA trial I was loving the Xbox One version, but moving to the PS5 (I assume the Series X is the same) has been a horrid experience. Players move sooo slowly, have the turning circle of a tank and lose the ball if they're so much as breathed on and passes go astray all over the shop. The graphics are somehow worse as well, with all of the pitches looking like they've had the grass drawn on by a child with pens that are running low.
I can't believe it's part of the same release cycle as the last gen one and such a shame. Feels like I've gone from playing the best FIFA ever to the worst.

I still need to do the early access friendly so went in. 7 goals for him with 3/4 being from corners.
I played about 7 hours on the PS4 version (after playing a couple on the PS5) one and I am preferring New Gen.
Doesnt matter anyway. They will patch it back to what it has been the last few years anyway.
I haven't touched current gen but I really like the feel of new gen.
I always really like the early versions of the game and then the patches ruin it.
Only thing I'm not liking is my formation turning into a 4-3-3 when defending any my STs dropping way too deep.
Raoul has it right. Last year you got access to both the PS4 and 5 version when you bought, so I like most stayed on the PS4 one as it was essentially the same. I'm not sure if you can switch on the fly this time.

Built an 85 squad full of fodder (I'll use in SBC's/sell) with the Mbappe money and it felt a bit better in the first game with them.

I already played out the silver/bronze objs on my TV while I work but apparently you can play a friend and they can back out. So you guys could rattle through those quickly.
If I do get this, it'll be on Xbox One as I don't have the next gen consoles yet. I haven't touched my 10 hour trial yet for fear of being sucked into the cycle.
Boras plays on current gen in his newest video and he admits that he prefers it. However, he's going to be sticking to PS5 purely because all competitive events will be done on that console.
He feels that defending is a lot easier on next gen (as they have more animations) and that left stick dribbling is better on current gen. As such he feels it's a lot easier to score on the PS4 version. And it's a lot faster on PS4.
I'm (back) on PS4 now and for me it's miles better.
The latter two are probably why I am enjoying newgen more. Prefer the slower pacing of the game.
Going to be looking to add some of these while battering the AI on low levels to get the 500 goals/assists done

Random observation: might be worth picking up some players/badges/tifos etc. of Wrexham. Got a feeling there's gonna be a promo tie-in gonna happen at some point.
