I'm a twit
Jimmy Wales can suck my cock. Wikipedia is quite badly effected by having autistic nerds and jobsworth idiots moderating it (avoiding the obvious joke here).
Their "notability" clause is enforced with total spastication. My mate, while procrastinating from his eng lit degree wrote a couple of articles about genuinely notable modernist authors (well respected, decently selling novels, peers of proper famous authors etc), and some fatty american moron deleted them cus he hadn't heard of them. Unsurprising, as i doubt he's read anything in the last 10 years except dr who fanfiction and richard Dawkins.
Yet every cunt who played twice for rushden and diamonds in 2004 gets a page. I don't object to, seemingly, every single person who has been a professional athlete getting a page, but the inconsistency is galling.
That's the problem with weirdo volunteers running the show, it's like the daft old women completely mispricing stuff in charity shops.
Hear, hear. They deleted our AE page even after that performance.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Edward_(soccer)
It's there again but I'm sure we attempted to create the page (and then it was deleted) before the history suggests.
Where's a good place to get reasonably priced pure cotton duvet covers and sheets?
I don't want some horrible feeling polyester shit but at the same time I don't want to pay about fifty fucking quid for a duvet cover.
They don't do delivery for that kind of thing, do they? Not a chance I'm going near Ikea at the minute.
Eyeing up spunking £100+ on some rollerblades. Proper bambi on ice shit in this domain but I figure I can spend an hour or two a day in August and see if I can don it or not.
We all know the hardest part of buying roller-blades though.
You more of a rollerskate man? I'm still undecided between the two tbf.
I saw some big titty girl donning one yesterday and let me tell you, it was a sight.
At least your nose will break any falls.
Join a roller derby team.
Swimming in tick tings.
Is your entire picture of the world based on the output of Nickelodeon in 2001? Fucking roller derby.
EDIT - I've just consulted Google and apparently it does exist here. Glasgow Cali has three teams, all of which are named for Irn Bru puns. The first team being the absolutely no effort 'Irn Bruisers'. Founded in 2007. Over to you, Floyd.
Ha. I mean I actually went to uni with a girl who plays it and that’s why I’m aware of the tick ting selection.
Up there with korfball as a sport I presume exclusively created by guys looking to create an opportunity to pump chubby birds.
If the point of Korfball was perverts trying to get some contact with women they probably wouldn't have a rule stating you can only tackle someone of the same sex.
Netflix's Home Game documentary has an episode on Roller Derby.
I'd be up for going to see a game live.
Cancel that. I came to my senses on today's walk when a mate of mine recalled a few of his injuries on them. They're not a particularly safe piece of equipment and I'm an injury layoff away from slipping into deep deep depression so fuck that.
Skateboard?
Note: This isn't just a byproduct of being too pussy to rollerblade/skate as I've been eyeing them up for a while.
I'll probably wait till next summer but why tf are paddleboards so expensive? They're not exactly the result of complex engineering and yet the cheapest ones seem to be around £300 (non-inflatable ones as my local lake doesn't allow inflatables). I expected budget ones (what that even means given they have one simple basic utility idk) for £50.
I don't know why you'd ever buy a paddle board over a kayak or canoe unless you were a geek.
I mean if you’re planning on paddleboarding a lake then you might as well just use some flotsam, they’re expensive because they’re supposed to support you on the open ocean
Other than the portability of them being inflatable/pack up into a backpack I tend to agree.
Although I did see a friend with one at the beach the other day so I have to be careful not to be too scathing.
People calling them Stand-up paddle boards (or, even worse, SUPs/ess you pees) is just the worst. What the fuck is a non-stand-up paddle board? A long board? A canoe?
I forecast there being a glut of them being on the second hand market next summer as every man and his dog seem to have bought one during lockdown.
I imagine they've just tapped into the market of people that want to do stuff but are afraid of/too useless to exercise. Even in the age of retired people running marathons there are millions of excuses to not overexert yourself. The worst in recent memory being "I sweat too much."
After the disaster of my laptop, I have now bought a NEW COMPUTER! First time I've owned a desktop since about 2010. My pal built it for me on the cheap and I think it's pretty decent for the price (£400), albeit a bit of a barebones build:
Ryzen 3200G with 16gb of ram, that's basically it. As I'm mostly an FM/old tycoon games from the 90s kinda guy, the integrated graphics will keep me going. Planning to get a £150 gpu in the new year if I can be arsed.
Today I bought six wrestling figures, which included an hour round trip to Wigan to collect two of them. What a sad little life.

Spent £50 on old pokemon cards.
I'm a twit
Half of me wants to laugh at you. Half of me wants to nostalgia the shit out of it.
Post any shiniest you get.
Bargain. Show us the best ones.
I feel like this ends with Baz on an episode of hoarders. "Would you like a TTH business card?"
There’s a lot of rubbish, not gonna lie, but it’s nostalgic rubbish like a crinkled up rattata with chocolate stuck to it. I suspect the valuable cards were removed long ago.
There’s base set 2 (if this means anything to you) Venusaur but other than that, nothing really worth much. Shiny (we say Holo, us pros) Lapras from the fossil set is probably the most valuable I’ve found, but it’s definitely a bit of a bargain. If all the cards from all the boxes (especially the big Tempest box) are still here, it’s probably worth quite a lot more than I paid, but I’ll probably not sell it for a long time. Everything’s mixed up though, so the best part is gonna be organising it all and seeing if I can put together complete collections for the base, jungle, fossil and team rocket sets.
I'm a twit
That’s sounds great.
I hated jungle but that team rocket set was great.
Funny that, as ive been selling pokemon cards over thr past few days.
Not much anymore. I had 90% of the fossil set with a few 1st editions. Ive sold them all off now. Ive also got two Mew promo #8 and #9 that ive decided to keep.
I'm pretty certain I've got all the 'Holo' cards upstairs. I'll have a look.
I bought a hundred quid pillow and it's pretty great.
I looked at them when we got our new bed. They're kinda magical. Ended up with the normal cheaper Tempur which are great too
I bought a watch today but it’s two fucking weeks delivery
