Soiri looks a player.
Soiri looks a player.
Is Hendrick this terrible for Newcastle or does he play on the right like he did for Burnley @Shindig?
Pukki is a woeful finisher. He seems determined to keep the ball on the deck.
His goalless streak is getting to him. During the last qualifying campaign he would’ve scored that first chance every time.
Soiri inexplicably subbed at half time
We so badly need Idah to turn out half decent.
Taking Kamara off when being one up seems like a pointless risk to take.
That’s a quality save.
How's Hourihane been doing generally?
That's how I find him. Decent player and has a great set piece. Goes missing sometimes though.
Southgate is far too defensive for this group of players. If we insist on a back 5 we don't need two holding players. Get Grealish in there.
Seven defensive players at home to Denmark is a joke. I'm not too fussed about Grealish as I get to watch him every week, but questions need to start being asked about Southgate. We have a squad full of attacking talent and he's playing a load of shit defenders. It's a problem.
Mason Mount is starting at least.
How come no Grealish?
He can pass forward and it can't be beaten out of him.
If he just pulled his socks up, all would be forgiven.
Pope
Alexander-Arnold
Gomez
Mings
Saka
Henderson
Ward-Prowse
Sancho
Grealish
Ings
Calvert-Lewin
I reckon the bench could win that
Was just about to post how much of a thrashing that would be
Pickford and Maguire to drop a collaborative clanger please.
Interesting that Waistcoat has stuck with Mount despite him accidentally helping us win against Belgium.
I assume he's had a stern talking to.
That line-up
Sancho and Grealish not starting should see Southgate sacked.
Mason Mount > all of them
Christ, if there's one thing worse than the England band, it's the England band being piped in as fake crowd noise in an empty stadium.
Jesus fucking shit, the best thing about no crowds should have been getting rid of those cunts.
I can only assume that sort of penalty decision is being given as part of a wider plot to see VAR fully embedded forever. Pickford's such a mong though. As is Walker. As is Maguire.
I’d be unhappy to see Maguire in our lineup.
I know being a clown goes with the territory for this [type of] ref, but, as a wider observation, whatever ills VAR has wrought on the game itself, it has wrought them tenfold on officials and their capacity to referee without the safety net. Such damage probably renders it impossible to ever go back to the way things were.
I was going to say, you can't tar them all with this arm-waving comedian's brush.
It should also be noted that this England kit is an abomination.
I’ve just seen the premier leagues offer of 50 million quid to the EFL. Not even a million quid a club seems quite tight fisted.
The Premier League (as in the central organisation) was absolutely seething about the Liverpool/United thing which it saw as a power grab. They want to do fuck all for English football and give zero fucks.
I don't buy Manchester United merchandise so they can hand my money to other poorly run clubs.
It's probably the whole of the organisation, (all) members included, really. Other than through some serious strong-arming it's hard to see how the make-up-the-numbers Premier League members are ever going to vote for anything that benefits the rest of the league structure in any meaningful way. They are all about keeping them down. Look at all the let's not do relegation this year bleating during the hiatus last season. Maybe Liverpool and United should go it alone with whoever fancies following them (ie at least the entirety of the football league).

Could be like a new signing, that.
Yeah but Pellistri isn't available, big loss
"When Harry beat No 1 ranked Belgium it’s a normal day"
Some corkers tommorrow. Napoli v Atalanta looks the pick.
Have we gone full circle back to Serie A, mate?
I'm not sure Serie A ever had 'mate' status. Its golden age was before that.
Nowadays it's 'NFL, mate', presumably much to the chagrin of long term fans like Giggles.
You pretty much have to have a lifetime of exposure to gridiron to have even the slightest clue as to what is going on so again, I'm unconvinced about mate status. Or are hipsters the world over extolling the virtues of play-action jet sweeps out of the shotgun as a solution to all life's problems?
