If this is accurate, home deliveries on release day will be two man jobs
Damn the PS4 looks magnificent.
I'm a twit
Added all the trailers to the first post. I had to make the last 4 just links as the forum only allows 10 videos per post.
I've been looking forward to seeing more of Deathloop (for when it comes to PC) because I love Arkane games but I'm not sure if the trailer has me more hyped for it or not. It looks like it has a similar sort of structure to the Prey DLC with you basically using repeat runs to work out the most efficient way to do things so you can beat the game but that eventually turned me off the Prey DLC so not sure how I feel about it here.
I do like Arkane a lot though, so I'll probably end up getting it.
Im thinking about coming out of gaming retirement to get the PS5.
I just have to convince the missus that the young fella and I will have many hours of bonding.
Surely a laptop would be of more use in that department.
Well I'm not one to kink shame.
GTA V is fast becoming Rockstar's Skyrim.
They're getting that from Amazon lobbing it up yesterday for £600 which was taken down about a minute later.
Companies did the same with the PS4.
There's no chance it goes over £500 because it would flop too hard. Money isn't in the actual console (Sony were selling the PS3 at a $300 loss per unit at launch) it's on the games and micro-transactions.
I personally think £499.99.
Backward compatibility to at least PS4 games needs to be a thing.
Assuming it does come out November-ish, it's going to be a bastard to get hold of this year.
If they do the price well, it’s looking very good. Match or lower than the Xbox should be the aim.
I am guessing $800, or something obscene like that. In a world where phones cost $1k plus, I don't see why not.
God of War 2/5 to be announced in August apparently
Bit bold to announce the bad reviews for the game in advance.
The next showcase is on Wednesday, 9pm.
I need a God of War trailer and the price.
This showcase feels a bit like they're pissing in our pockets.
£449.99/£359.99 for PS5 normal and digital. November 19th for most countries.
I can't decide if I should go digital or disk.
I prefer digital games over a physical copy but sometimes physical is a little cheaper. Someone else can bring games, I can rent games, buy pre-owned etc.
However, £90 cheaper for the console and I do prefer not having to physically get up and change a disk.
I think I own one physical game at this point so it seems like digital is a no brainer for me.
Discs for me. I like filling the empty space in my life with game boxes.
Disc for me. Having to free up space for games is terrible
You will also be able to play the following 18 PS4 games on the PS5 with PS+
God of War, Bloodborne, Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy XV, Fallout 4, Mortal Kombat X, Uncharted 4, Ratchet & Clank, Days Gone, Until Dawn, Detroit, Battlefield 1, inFamous Second Son, Batman Arkham Knight, The Last Guardian, The Last of Us Remastered, Persona 5, and Resident Evil 7 Biohazard.

No difference.
It may just be a soon to be relic of my time, but I always liked selling your game on when it no longer has use, in order to fund the next one and so on.
If digital copies were cheaper(as they should be!) then this would be a no brainer really, but I don't know if I'm ready to give up on that disc drive.
Game have bundles up.
Amazon will be accepting pre-orders from 9am.
RIP parents wallets.
Got mine from Very this morning, disc version.
Got mine from Amazon, also disc version.
Got mine on Amazon too but they’ve gone in around 20 minutes...

Disc version for me as the price difference will pay itself off in trade-ins fairly quickly, particularly if the game RRP of £70 isn't a practical joke.
I'm going to get the digital version. I just really don't want to buy a white console though, it looks shit.
I thought the same about white consoles but I've grown accustomed since I got a white PS4 Pro (best deal I could find).
It won't attract as much dust which is a bonus.
The white controllers will look skanky as fuck as well once you've used them for a while
I didnt get a pre order because everything ended up seriously fucked up here. Amazon link leaked early. Walmart, Target and GameStop all started taking pre orders early.
Madness.
Because of Covid, these pre-orders are going to be sky high?
I'll not preorder and just pick it up when I'm arsed. I like picking it up from brick and mortar in case something goes sideways.
Interesting that at a time when we've already had a PS "exclusive" or two on PC (is it just HZD? I feel like there's another I'm forgetting) there were two games in all this that got announced for PC and then hastily said "ER NO THEY'RE DEFINITELY NOT GOING TO PC."
I wonder if they're going to more consistently go down the route of timed exclusives. Have them Playstation-only for a while so they can snag anybody who's likely to buy a box for a specific game and then once they think they're past the most profitable bit of that roll it out to PC / other platforms.
