I had an absolutely filthy burger just now. I just had a sudden tragic pang for one as I haven't had either a burger or chips for about three months.
God it was good.

I made “kfc” (fried chicken) tonight and it went okay. Cheers Tim Vickery and This Morning.
I'm a twit
I made a four egg omelette with sriracha sauce on it at lunch time. It has been a reckoning ever since.
The mrs wants a Thai tonight. Outside of Thai curries of various colours, what's good?
Pretty much everything is good and I never remember any of the dish names between visits, so if you just go for your favoured level of spice and principal ingredient, you can't really go wrong.
The menus don't help.
"Gai Ma Maung - Stirfried Chicken with Cashew Nuts"
Right, with what? Is there a sauce? Is it a cashew based sauce? I'm having to google every dish.
My favourite outside the curries is Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles). Any meat will go with it but I prefer beef. Such great flavours.
Phad Kra Pao Moo - Pork Belly with basil leaves in a slightly spicy sauce is tremendous.
Pad See Ew. Love the flat noodles
Then ask for maximum spice. Won't be bland then
Chicken Pad Kee Mao, Chicken Pad Thai, Tempura Vegetables with Chilli Dip and Deep Fried Prawns with Sweet Chilli Dip on the way.

I’m a big fan of Pad Gra Prao as Thai dishes that aren’t curry or noodles go. Mahow knows.
For Eign Muck.
@Josh, when things get better, you need to check out Talad Wat at 50th and 9th. $22 for two curries, rice, and a plate of greens. It’s the best deal in the city.
(Don’t look at the menu now; they’ve changed it to takeaway-only)

It was fine, I was just expecting more from it considering it's the most famous Thai dish. It was basically just a noodle version of egg fried rice.
It doesn't travel all that well (and hence becomes worse in a takeaway situation).
It’s just raw vegetables in water isn’t it?
I think you must have got a particularly bad one.
@Giggles
Having Pad Thai from some 75-year-old hawker uncle in a random Bangkok back alley, fresh from the wok and with oil of questionable origin, is the proper way to enjoy the dish. Definitely translates poorly to takeaway.
I think my favourite Thai noodle dish is a toss-up between boat noodles and khao soi.
EDIT: Speaking of...for the Sydneysiders among us, Yok Yor on Castlereagh, just around the corner from the Surry Hills Hotel, does cracking boat noodles.

Oil of questionable origin in a Bangkok back alley.
Sounds like the 10th track of an obscure Estonian indie band’s album.
It's James' debut album title sorted anyway.
I think Jimmy was just having a flashback.
Lamb curry arriving at 16:45
It’ll have to go in the microwave but at least a curry can take it.
These boxes look pretty fucking special

That looks class. Must look for something similar here.
I almost bought a box off one of the bbq places I do go to during the week but I think all the stuff is actually cooked when you get it so you’d need a big group which is fairly pointless at the minute.

I'm finding food in this lockdown impossible. I am by definition and government mandate not as active as I generally would be, which means I have to eat less, but at the same time having a decent meal in the evening is one of the few things which doesn't involve abject misery. I also have to eat well at lunch (usually a bagel, an apple and a chocolate bar or something) or there isn't a prayer I complete the workday, either physically or mentally.
As such I've currently resorted to having chicken salads with various marinades/flavours put on the chicken for interest, because anything I actually want to eat is just going to make me fat(ter).
2 Big Mac meals a day is about 2000 calories which is just the right amount to not gain weight
I have the solution if you feel guilty for being a disgusting meat-eater. Greek yoghurt with whatever fruit toppings you like (banana and blueberries come recommended), seeds for texture (hemp, linseed, goji, sunflower, chia, pumpkin) and one of honey or peanut butter as a sweetener.
I was led down this path due to the great COVID milk shortage of spring 2020 and let me tell you, there's no looking back any more. 1500 calories can be had with none of the bloatedness that cereal gives you and it's piss-easy to make and transport.
I feel so strongly about it I'm giving serious thought into taking advantage of the broken high-street once this is over and getting it franchised cause it's a game-changer.
Nonce.
I would have said the same but I'm now swimming in a sea of underage minge guilt-free. If you're on your milk shit like I was, give it a go and you'll see what I'm saying.
It's the thought of you pinching seeds into it that did it. The rest is sound advice.
The crunch is critical though. I hear Granola as an option but I don't trust someone else adding sugar to shit so that's not making it on to my menu and nuts are too big, as ever.
Been making my own granola which is obviously pretty wanky but easy.
Oats - toasted in the pan then mix in:
Mixed fruit
Golden syrup
Peanut butter
Chia seeds
Nuts
Leave to cool. Quality.
You having it with milk? Trial the good stuff from Stavros for a couple days and tell me it doesn't change your life.
