I’d like to know how far we are from these anti-body tests. And the tests that tell you if you have it currently. The government says it has ordered ‘millions’ of the former and the Koreans and Americans are already producing the latter.
Presumably (given they’re supposedly not technically difficult to make) we just requisition portions of whatever industries can create them, get them out to almost everybody and then we’re are potentially weeks away from destroying the disruption caused by the little cunt through gradually reducing circles of isolation.
The government has effectively nationalised the nation now anyway so it may as well get to it.
In the park next to my flat there has been a large, rolling gathering of 20-30 youths there since before I got home and they're still there. Kicking footballs, smoking, etc. Nobody older than 16/17.
If they were all shot dead and their corpses left there to decompose as a warning to others, the country would lose nothing.
Nationalise sausages.
At least they aren't stabbing anyone.
I want to know what's happening to all this supermarket fresh fruit and veg that no one was buying previously, but has a use by of about 2 days after purchase.
What's wrong with them McDonald's queues anyway? Pointlessness aside, they're in their own cars.
SvN’s blitzed it with the milk and poured it down the drain.
EDIT: @Jimmy
Where I am the queue was enough that it delayed ambulance journeys by 4 minutes.
This, on mass testing:

Fuck knows about the costing, and obviously there will be global competition for this stuff. But so we not need to pull our fingers out? I can’t imagine nothing is happening, but it would be good to know how far off we are.
There's a company in NI developing tests but apparently they haven't been approved by NICE yet so they're being exported according to what I heard on the local news yesterday.
Edit: two companies, in fact.

Guess it depends how good the tests are. Apparently the Chinese sent the Czechs a load and they are unreliable. Hopefully NICE gets notice that they work ASAP and we can get them rolled out.
Wasn't @mugbull giving it large that his lot had stolen the tests bound for Italy?
Look at these absolute NUTTERS
Those who aren't infected won't carry out the required social distancing post-test if they're not doing it now. Unless you police this strictly it has flaws.
Given personal experience, I'm still of the mind millions are infected though and the antibody test being released will be the solution to all this.
Yeah, you need both. We need to know who is immune as they’ll be keeping the economy running.
Here we go.
He's chickening out.
Heard ya'll on total lockdown?
What the fuck was that? Did he just want to get in the way of Panorama being shown?
No doubt my place will maintain their position that I can’t work from home and that I can still attend meeting on 20+ people.
Did he bottle businesses being closed?
I went to Sports Direct today. Top timing.
We need to get ours closed too.
Now I've lost the consolation that the UK is equally crazy as the US in their response to this. :-/
I reckon my employer is even now poring over the text trying to find the loopholes to keep everyone in.
All the shopping sites are crashing when you select a delivery date lol.
I just texted mine, although I may have just reminded him it was on.
My place has already been applying the most liberal interpretation of ‘essential’ as possible. Currently going with ‘there is no longer a distinction between frontline and back office in the NHS’. I sort of take the point, but my job can absolutely be done from home and I’m very reluctant to increase my personal risk. I also need a wage, though.
UK wide text going to be sent tomorrow.
My boss wants me to go to a customer tomorrow where all the eastern european employees live on site in what could be described as a commune. Not a chance they're taking any precautions, they'll just bury any one of them that gets badly sick and ship over another one in their place. Not a fucking chance.
