Can't believe I slept on this for so long. Best Wu-affiliated material in a while. This album goes:

Link the best track from that Goldlink, please, Bern.
Cheers, liking the second one. Sounds similar to some Pro Era stuff.
I keep trying to get into that Goldlink album, but I'm just not really feeling it.
Pell's new album, however...

New Logic album is the tits.
MBDTF is 5 years old today
What's your favorite track?
I'd say my favourite track changes with every listen. Based on play count it's Gorgeous, I think.
Deserves another
Mine is probably Dark Fantasy. But several others could take that spot, a truly brilliant album.
5 years, damn. Favourite tracks are probably Runaway/Blame Game/Gorgeous. Phenomenal album though.
How are we feeling about the new Gibbs?
Gorgeous or Runaway, with Hell Of A Life up there even if the lyrics are bollocks.
Runaway for me. Never really liked the album overall but it had some great moments. I forgot it was released on my birthday.
In other news, Logic can freestyle and complete a Rubik's Cube at the same time: http://pigeonsandplanes.com/2015/11/...y-freestyling/
Runaway might be Kanye's best ever song.
On topic, liking the new Pusha track. Had no idea he was working on a new album:
This is always on the radio, and I really like it:

Sounds like you'd like ILOVEMAKKONEN

What theWu-Tang Clan’s ambitious, one-of-a-kind secret album “Once Upon A Time in Shaolin” — of which only a single copy was produced — has been sold to an American buyer for an undisclosed figure that was in the millions, private auction house Paddle8 announced on Tuesday.
Absolute beast.

Freddie Gibbs Careless
George Michael sample
That was a great album @Alex Ferguson
So we're coming up to the end of the year, albums of the year time? In my current thinking it's probably
1)The Mick Jenkins tape, Waves or whatever.
2)Action Bronson - Mr Wonderful
3)JayRock - 90059
4)Kendrick - TPAB
and the Pusha album will probably round out the five slipping ahead of JayRock and Kendrick, that's based on little to nothing apart from knowing that every other Pusha album has made by Top 3 of that year.
I really do need to listen to that Freddie Gibbs album actually. Fuckin' Up The Count is a banger.
Careless is so fucking good.
Albums I need to put in some kind of order from this year:
* TPAB
* Mr. Wonderful
* And After That, We Didn't Talk
* Every Hero Needs a Villain
* Summertime '06
* Days With Dr. Yen Lo
* Tetsuo & Youth
* Shadow of a Doubt
Oh I forgot the Vince Staples album.
You can have Kendricks position, Vince.
In no particular order, my top 5 favourite albums released this year have been:
Dark Sky Paradise by Big Sean
Jenny Death by Death Grips
Slow Motion Vol 1 by Jarren Benton
Stoney Point by Demrick & DJ Hoppa
#1 spot is easy though: Integrity by JME
Plus Logic's album might make the top five, but I've not listened to it enough yet.
Biggest letdown of 2015 was definitely Cherry Bomb by Tyler The Creator

The image of Baz driving round St. Helens blasting JME out the speakers is an enjoyable one.
There's a free Aesop Rock and Homeboy Sandman EP up on the Stones Throw website.

I haven't heard it yet, got to be worth a download though.
my type of sound
Enjoying these at the moment.
Also that Kendrick Black Friday track is ridiculous.
Contact - Logic. What tune is that from at the start to middle of the song?
Amazing by Kanye, Waff.
I'm a virgin to this thread, but: thoughts on Kendrick Lamar? He's about the only hip-hop from this millennium that I've enjoyed listening to, and amongst my friends he's surprisingly popular too.
To Pimp A Butterfly and Anthology by Tribe is the only hip-hop I've really listened to in any meaningful way in my life.
It's happening. Why don't you listen to more?
I didn't like To Pimp A Butterfly that much, to be honest. Only a couple of tracks really stood out for me. I'd rather he kept his sound like GKMC.
On a vaguely related note - whatever happened to Offshore?
I tend to prefer Kendrick when he does stuff like Black Friday or Deep Water on Dre's album. He's an absolute beast when he decides to go with that kind of style. TPAB is still very good, like. Just a bit too jazzy themed for it to be one of my favourite albums of the year or anything.
My favourite 5 albums of the year in no particular order:
Tetsuo & Youth - Lupe Fiasco
If You're Reading This It's Too Late - Drake
The Album About Nothing - Wale
Compton - Dr. Dre
GO:OD AM - Mac Miller
Wale, really? Good call on Mac Miller though, I need to listen to that one again.
@spoon, Kendrick is deserving of the hype he gets and at the moment there's no one close to him artistically (Yeezus was cool, but Kanye isn't really delivering top form recently). I only consider around 8-10 albums 'modern classics', and Kendrick has made 2-3 of them.
The list:

Wale's album was really good, I felt. It might be slightly nostalgic because I loved his mixtapes back in '08/'09 and think he hasn't really returned to that style of music until his album this year. When I looked over the list of albums that have come out this year, his is one of my most played, so yeah.
GO:OD AM is great. I do slightly prefer his last album, but it's one of those albums that's so easy to just press play and listen all the way through without skipping any tracks.
I can't listen to too much Mac Miller (ie a full album) because his voice reminds me too much of Devvo.

Dug some old stuff out last night to whack on the Ipod.
Forgot just how good Black Rob is.
I only really know Up North and it's awesome.

I've just given Kid Cudi's new effort a spin.
It's one of the worst things I've ever heard. Whiny, droning shit over a load of guitars. My hopes of MOTM3 being anything like the first two (despite him saying he was going to use a lot of the same producers) is dwindling rapidly. I mean, I could get on board with INDICUD because it was still essentially a hip-hop album, but this isn't. And whatever genre it is simply isn't very good.
