Jim The Anvil Neidhart has died.
Jim The Anvil Neidhart has died.
Ronda's best friend is going to be devastated.
Ah shit, Hart Foundation vs Demolition was the match that got me hooked, I loved Anvil.
Jim never looked in shape ever, did he?
Ambrose looks fucking huge. He has the perfect look of a heel but that is only happening if he turns on Rollins and fuck having them two feud again.
His hairline is so uneven, he needs to shave it closer.
He needs to do a Snitsky and shave it all off.
All 3 members of the shield need to banned from being on screen together for at least 3 years. It’s all they ever do.
One more Shield match then it's time for Owens / Zayn again.
It was touching to see Ronda say such kind words for her best friend in the whole world.
Just seen the SummerSlam card.
Woof.
7 hours apparently...
Saw the Ambrose segment. He's thankfully seen sense with his hair but someone should really have a word with Ziggler now
He looks like a little Rick Steiner.
A good old fashioned whodunnit in NXT. I hope it was Rikishi.
I really don't like the changes they made to Killian Dain's wardrobe since moving from NXT.
Apparently it was his decision but his gear in NXT was perfect for him:
Clearly don't like his body fat and hair the bastards.
You've see Sanity on the main roster and Dain's attire is your biggest gripe? Really?
They seem to use all NXT guys in the same shitty way right now so there's no point to single out an individual/group for being badly used.
It's going to suck when they (apparently) call up Aleister Black after SummerSlam.
Agreed. Almas is an odd one just now, with a weird mix of booking him relatively strongly but keeping him on the pre-shows.
AOP being in a feud with Titus Worldwide where every match is a squash is strange.
That tag title match was fantastic, although having War Machine then sneak up on the bad guys who just won a match fairly is a bit too close to main roster face logic.
I was adamant it was Billy Gunn at the time.
Well he started dressing like this.
That picture could have been taken at any point during my life.
All ready for Summerslam. First time watching in a few months, hope it's not too shit.
Half the matches went too long and the other half were squashes. Really poorly put together show even if there was some decent action.
I was enjoying the booking of Lesnar/Reigns until they ruined it all with the shitty finish.
I thought it was a largely decent show. The squashes did nobody anybody favours but at least Bork doesn't have the belt. Was surprised at the crowd reaction to that, actually.
The Kevin Owens match was genuinely weird.
I went to bed after AJ v Samoa Joe. Either Joe's athleticism is fucking crazy Or everyone else is just slow. The speed/power of his kicks are insane. That one hitting AJ off the top rope was better than most footballers.
That match and the idea of how it ended works but the actual moves that were done sucked. A spear into a wall and 3-4 chair shots? The man tried to split your family apart and you give him what Mankind would refer to as a casual dark match.
There was so much build-up to Owens getting the briefcase that for there to not even be an attempt at shenanigans was nonsense.
My problem was that he didn't beat him up enough. From the video they played before I guess the thing is he's been beaten a lot in the last few weeks but if a couple of running shoulder barges and a slam outside the ring is enough to pin him it doesn't make sense. My only guess is that the slam on the ramp genuinely fucked up his back so they cut it short?
That was my problem with the show I watched, I understand that it's just what modern wrestling is but seth rollins doing a reverse superplex off the top rope into a spinning superplex gets a 2.5 count these days, every pin where someone hasn't been actually murdered via a 9mm seems pathetic.
There's no bar for what is a beating anymore.
edit: Found it.
2.5.
Watching NXT Takeover now and my word the Ricochet/Adam Cole match Some absolutely brilliant spots in that match, same with every match thus far as per usual.
Oh and lol at Velveteen's tights:
Edit: And I'm done, absolutely great Event as always with NXT. 'Worst' match was probably Dream against EC3 but that was still better than most on the main event PPVs.

That's the problem with the supposed 5 star formula these days. It's just big move, 2 count, big move, 2 count, big move, 2 count until someone doesn't kick out. It's fucking boring. I blame the Cena/Owens series of matches getting jacked off too so much, but it probably started before that. It's the only way WWE seems to be able to make a match seem better than any other these days though. Those big moves are going to get bigger and bigger.... just to make the latest spot fest feel better than the one before. But of course when the guy who has a clothesline or similar shit move for a finisher hits that, they'll stay down.
I wonder if they're just carrying on with the original plan of Ambrose turning on Rollins even though they confirmed that was going to happen in a book they released.
Summerslam was ok but all of the Braun Strowman stuff was weird. If you have the rule that a champion can lose something even with a countout or DQ you don't just have them win a clean squash, and then when Brock throws his briefcase onto the stage that's the last you ever see of the MONSTER.
It's all a bit video games where the one that's designated as the finisher is magically more powerful.
The tease of the Musclebuster was fucking weird too. It's barely or never been on WWE TV so why they expected the crowd to get pumped I don't know.
Just finished a typically weak Raw in about an hour and a quarter. I know they love to string out a cash in but the way they're handling Boatman on both shows here has been weird.
Still at least we got promos from Stephanie AND HHH.
Excited to see Undertaker vs HHH for the Last Time Ever only six years after their End Of An Era match. Admittedly it's better than Cena and Rock's Once In A Lifetime match happening the next year.
The thing I loved about the End of an Era match was that their era was the attitude era and the very next match on the card featured sexual chocolate. Now he’s gone I guess they need to end it again.
Fucking hell they aren't wheeling him out again are they? Do any of his joints bend or has he gone full Khali?
He's looking a lot better since he had his hip replacement, but he's obviously not the wrestler he was a decade ago. I still mark out like a fanboy when he's around, though.
Running through SummerSlam (surprisingly decent thus far but still far from good, best since they went back to dual brand) and I'm surprised they brought the Demon King back. Cool to see him but for a squash against Jeremy Corbin? Pretty damn pointless.
The Demon King is such a lol concept. Grrrr I'm so pumped up I'm going to sit in make up for ages and have cartoons drawn on me.
I wouldn't be averse to it if it was some sort of tribal warpaint idea.
I quite liked Summerslam on the whole but at least they balanced things out by Raw and Smackdown being pretty meh.
Yeah, you can't flip between the two. It's hardly Mick Foley stripping off to reveal he's Cactus Jack.
Has Demon Balor ever lost?
From memory he's only had 2 matches on the main roster, and one of those was against some hairy woman.
Edit- Supposedly that was cancelled and he faced Styles. Damn.... no wonder I had no memory of the match of the century.
