For fuck's sake. After really enjoying GT5 I got GT6 for £8 from Ebay. Totally stoked to start playing it, so I put it on when I got in at half 6 knowing it would have updates to do so it would be ready by the time the little 'un is down to bed.
8PM comes, and it's only on 12/21 updates. So it's just fucking finished, and now it's going to take 320 minutes to install.

Why wouldn't you just turn network play off and get started right away? It's not like you'll be doing online play anyway.
Because of the patches and stuff. The online servers have been decommissioned.
Also there's a bug with the updating. I have to install 22 updates manually.
I tried the bulk one again and it failed. That's been 5.5hrs staring at a progress bar. What is my life.

Yeah but version 1 has loads of bugs much like FM. Have repaired the HD so going to try a fourth time. If not I'll just go up to the 9/22 and stick with that.
GT must be writing to the same sectors. Where the free space is. I had this problem with Yakuza 5. A format might, might clear it but I ended up fitting a spare drive into it.
Yep didn't work. Going to go up to v1.09 and stick with that.
Edit: Nope! Turns out a fair chunk of the game was released via these updates, so it can fuck off.
A Google search for "gt6 updates ps3" shows that there are issues with updates. Versions 1.02 and 1.10 are named pretty often.

Ok, I'm firmly onboard the 'Fuck PES' train. You can guarantee a 1-0 lead will be wiped out ten minutes from time by a defensive error you had no control over. I'm also noticing the AI seems to always pressure the same way, regardless of opposition.

Yeah I fucking love the multiplayer. I've went back to Blops 1 which is awesome the maps are just incredible. Way better than 2. I bought 3 second hand from CEX using my GT6 credit that I sold to them.

Yeah, they're a bit old hat at this point. I'm amazed they're still working on another Gears of War. I think it works for your action games ala Arse Cred Oranges/Zelda but shooting guns in third person is dull for some reason.
Clearly someones very angry at how good I am at Battlegrounds.
