This thread has been.....RESURRECTED
I'd like to note that I didn't change his name but I also think this is a colossally annoying 'bit'.
That name change is actually quite funny for once
“If the injustice is part of the necessary friction of the machine of government, let it go, let it go: perchance it will wear smooth--certainly the machine will wear out… but if it is of such a nature that it requires you to be the agent of injustice to another, then I say, break the law. Let your life be a counter-friction to stop the machine. What I have to do is to see, at any rate, that I do not lend myself to the wrong which I condemn.”
Henry David Thoreau
This is probably what he was thinking of when he wrote that.
What a board we are. Being able to have a thread about MELTDOWNs is good enough on its own, but the thread itself provoking a fresh one from somebody posting as somebody else defending their actual self... These are the things that take us to the next level.
I don't understand the thinking behind that beard.
It's the beard of a bloke who sucks the marrow out of a pig's hoof for his dinner.
It's the beard of a bloke who sucks the marrow out of his best mate.
what did i miss
So how does Hammer's departure rank? I mean it's not one of the all-time great meltdowns but it was pretty good all the same.
Has he lost the plot? I know he's been ill in the past as per the depression thread.
Was it a meltdown?
Went back to have a read of Don's WDYTOE meltdown on the old board.

Sama's work in the archive.
It was just a low rent version of Harold's waterslide event.
One that gets forgotten about is Ledley in a WDYTOE towards the end of his time as a mod. He went truly nuclear for a good hour or two.
