Not as tired as your basement
Not as tired as your basement
Haven't even got one.
Sorry, ‘Game Room’.
War Room.
You don’t have a bed?
Real GAMERS don't sleep.
I bet you call your computer your "rig".
i look cute in that
One of the dodgiest things that happened at work was the guy next to me talking so much about gaming that our manager told him to stop. His response being, "Oh, sorry. It's only my livelihood."
In his fucking fifties.
I'd have had the Venn diagram for hardcore gamers and artisanal chocolatiers as two circles that never meet, but here we are.
I think the main issue I have with video gaming is, and i guess it's only anecdotal and maybe my friends are exceptional cases, that most of my mates who are into video games are REALLY into video games, and basically vacillate between two extremes - being normal, sociable, functioning members of society, or just staying up until about 2am every night playing video games then all day saturday and sunday as well. The only people I know who are able to be, er, "functional" gamers are the super casual ones who just play fifa occasionally.
High five RL, great stuff m8!
I didn't know gaming was professional here, or was the other team's coach from South Korea or something?
Shindig's colleague
Actually, I'd say he's more like this.
"Now I'd like to tell you about the time I spent with Doom in VR at length...."
Shindig needs to slip one of our cards onto his workmates desk.
I know right? How can ONE person have TWO hobbies that cool?
I'm not really a 'functional' human being regardless of the gaming.
Semi-professional is maybe more accurate, but there are quite a few semi-professional UK organisations and a couple of the professional LoL players who play for the big NA/EU orgs are English.
I have a friend I was at Med school with who now casts (commentates) professionally for Riot games, the company who made LoL and run all the esports associated with it.
One of the players on my Uni team is considering trying to go professional next year (as a player). He's currently ranked in the top 50 on the ranked ladder in Western Europe (out of over 3.5m players).
So yeah Esports is kicking off pretty bigly in the UK now, even if we are still quite behind some other places.
This is probably interesting to nobody but me but anyway.
I watched some of the first Battlegrounds eaport thing, the commentary seemed like they didn’t really know how to play the game. Was entertaining enough though.
Well done on your success.
Clearly The Third Hard needs to be a semi-pro esports team
The lads in the switch thread are a few Rocket League games away from that I think.
Only another 9000 more hours and you'll nail it.
Tbh I'm still so fucking shit at that game. It's unbelievably hard to actually be good.
False.
@phonics started playing a week ago and he's something special.
I'm even better
One on one, one on one...
I'm a twit
So RL doesn't even have this anymore, what does he have?
Did I hurt you, Mahow?
My League hours would dwarf that but it's not recorded anywhere so RIP.
