Cheers man, we'll see how it gets on.
I've got a few things worth over 50p from TF2 and one that is going for about £1.
Making that mad money.
I just put some stuff up and made 12p within 10 seconds of listing them, making paper at that ratio comes out at almost £400000 per year.
Based on that financial projection, I've bought Worms Armageddon in the sale for £2
So do I need to have things currently in my inventory for that thing to do stuff, or....?
Anyway, I bought Signal from Tolva (I'm choosing to blame @Disco for that, not my own lack of self-control) to finish of my sale purchases and decided to leave Watch Dogs this time.
As far as I can tell it just mines the games in your library for trading cards, presumably by tricking Steam into thinking you're playing them.
Yeah, I've been running it for the last 2 hours or so.
Got 31 badges thus far.
This is witchcraft, it's dug several cards out of Empire Total War, a game which Steam reckons I have over 800 hours logged in.
While we're on the subject, what kind of price do you guys list things for? I tend to look at the little graph and go for whatever they've been selling for, I wonder if you just whacked it up a few pence if they'd still sell.
I just go with the price it says, including Steam's 2p cut. Everything tends to go pretty quick that way, although I'm still bemused as to who is buying these things and why.
If you get all of them you can then combine them to make it's 'final form' and sell it for a bit more. Plus, nutters/perfectionists.
At risk of being the world's most boring man is there a potential risk in this? Free money, even in tiny increments, still isn't really a thing.
I can't see how, it simply runs the game for long enough to trigger the drops.
I wonder if this is the trading card exploit that Jim Sterling is always going on about. Did people upload a string of assest flips with cards in them, mine the cards out and somehow profit happened? I never quite worked that one out.
Got this as well:

Just stuck up just over 100 items in a matter of minutes.
£8.09 after Steam takes their cut is what I'm on for.
I'm at the heady heights of nearly £3 with another 40 odd things still listed. It's clearly not worth the hassle but I need to finish now.
The Inventory helper is amazing though.
I sell all the things in my inventory, I'm not sure what else it would help me with.
It does it automatically.
You click 'ok' once (well once per 25 items) and it lists them up for market value.
Took me less than 5 minutes to list over 100 items.
Fire Pro World was released on Early Access today, the card collecting chumps paid for a third of my copy. Thanks, strangers!
Valve just banned 40,000 accounts yesterday just FYI. Most were VAC bans but I'm not taking my chances.
I've spent too much money on that account to lose it over 5 quid.
I've only run it on a laptop at work to fart around with settings so I haven't played yet, but people who have seem to be raving over it so far.
Some good stuff on GMG:

Wolfenstein for £3 is good value.
Did anybody play the Telltale Batman game? Kinda tempted now it's down to a fiver.
I've played the first four episodes of it on the PS4 but never got around to finishing it off.
It's pretty good so far and I'm tempted to get season two after I finish episode 5.
Really liked the first episode. Story's solid and I like the balance of different stuff to do. I've enjoyed myself with a lot of the Telltale stuff but I feel more involved in this one, even if it's just a slightly more complicated illusion of choice.
Saints Row 4 at £2.99 with pretty much all of the DLCs.
Should I bite?
It's no Saints Row 3 but it's still pretty compelling.
Free weekend for that. I might install it just to see how it runs.

The lovely GOG have a big sale on.
Considering The Witness, Her Story, Tacoma.
The Witness is repetitive garb. I bought it on PS4 at launch and started thinking omg such a creative puzzler I love it, then got bored but persevered, then got stuck but googled it so I could carry on playing and resisted the temptation to cheat more, then decided it was crap and cheated for a bit, before deciding I couldn't even be arsed doing that and sacked it off in about the third zone.
Honestly it's dogshit.
If you love line puzzles, I think you'd still get bored.

FTL for pennies is never the wrong choice.
I like the idea of Project Highrise despite the undisputed fact that I'm always shit at construction and planning games, yet it rarely puts me off them.
Crypt of the Necrodancer is such a lovely game. Though like FTL, I prefer it on iPad.
The Witness is out on iOS now. £9.99

Halloween sales on Steam and GOG.
Steam sale looks like the last one. Deals are on for the duration rather than flash sales, etc.
Humble sale, featuring a whole shitload of games: https://www.humblebundle.com/store?p...ckpapershotgun
Steam Autumn sale and basically everything on my fucking wishlist is on it.
Dishonored 2's DLC already at 50%, Shadow Tactics at £17.49, which is the cheapest I've seen, Heat Signature, Vermintide (we need The Third Hard back), Banner Saga 2, Assassin's Creed Rogue, Tacoma, Total Warhammer (1) and Far Cry Primal. There is so much of it.
I can highly recommend Twathammer and Heat Signature.
Dead Rising on the cheap might be grabbed.
Hollow Knight £7.25
Sanctum 2 is free on Humble Bundle: https://www.humblebundle.com/store/sanctum-2

Dead by Daylight is £7.49 on Steam @Ian
Something for The Third Hard to consider
Could be a laugh, how many do you need for it?
I bought Hexcells for 60p and it's a couple of hours of puzzley goodness.
I think I'm going to get Dishonored 2: Death of the Outsider and Assassin's Creed Rogue.
Five.
Four survivors in third person mode with one being the killer in first person mode.
Bought Death of the Outsider and Assassin's Creed: Rogue.
Think I'll pick up those other two Hexcells games too.
I grabbed the Nioh season pass which I'll work through next week.
