Peyton's got his post-NFL career sorted.
Donned it.
Peyton's got his post-NFL career sorted.
Donned it.
Durant did not look happy.
Apparently he was in on it.
"Unfortunately my brother Eli can't be here tonight.... because that's what I told the folks at the door."
The better brother.
Kirk Cousins has turned down a contract that would have seen him have the highest fully guaranteed amount for a QB in NFL history. Even $72m for injury.
I know he wants to work with Kyle Shanahan but that's a bit daft to turn that down.
Lev Bell also didn't come to an agreement. Both will be free agents at the end of the coming season, unless something drastically changes.
I don't think I'll ever understand all the stupid tags and getting compensation for players whose contracts have expired and all that shit. How long can they just keep tagging cousins?
Indefinitely really but the more they do it the bigger the cap hit.
$35m for the year if they do it next year.
What if he doesn't want to stay there? Can he just fuck off even if they try and tag him?
You can only tag a player 2 times running I believe. So he's a free agent no matter what the end of this season.
And yes, you still have to agree a contract on a franchise tag. You get the average of the top 5 players in your position, in the league, as a wage, so the team wont hand it out willy nilly.
Josh Norman, one of the top corners in the league, was franchise tagged by his then team the Panthers. They couldn't work it out even so and later took the tag off him. He signed for the Redskins the next day. So no they can't force you into it either.
It's generally a good move for the player though. If I'm Cousins, I've earned $25m just last year through being tagged and will earn more again this year. He's going into next season with the ability to sign for the highest bidder, with $50m or so in his pocket already. His only other option this season was signing a long term deal in Washington, but he makes more money this way and is on a better team.
7th overall pick, Mike Williams, could be out for the season.
Apparently he needs back surgery.
Also, I've pretty much finished the second season of All or Nothing today with one episode left. I was a little concerned due to the Rams being so shit last season and the fact that they were also covered on Hard Knocks but I think it's brilliant. They've done a really good job in putting it all together.
Gregg Williams shows himself off to be an even bigger dickhead than first imagined and I was a little surprised at how emotional the team was about Jeff Fisher getting fired.
More bad news for Mahow. Didn't realise Allen & Taliaferro were still on the team
Also, this is a pretty ironic thing to happen to a guy called Lucky.
New look NFL site is strange, although it does match the new GamePass.
ffs, although it's not exactly all that serious. He's suspended for the first 4 games anyway, our 5th game is about 11 weeks away so he has time to recover.
'Zo' is probably going to be the teams starting fullback so the injury gives more hope to Allen and Taquan Mizzell (although he had a chance of being our primary returner anyway).
That Whitehead thing is fairly poor on behalf of the Cowboys considering the way they've been protecting Elliot the past while.
Yeah, he's not losing too many actual games, but the loss of practice time might mean he needs a few extra weeks to get up to speed once his suspension is over.
Are the Ravens still pretending Dixon is a thing? Get over it, he's never going to materialise.
Did you see him run last season? He will be great barring injuries.
Shame he's just got injured then really.
I saw the complete lack of fantasy points he scored every week, that's all I need.
That said, I could have sworn he's been pissing me off for more than 1 season. Maybe it was Buck Allen. It was probably both.
He was a backup, he wasn't going to be a fantasy demon. He would have been had he not gotten injured in preseason though.
Also, he was running incredibly well with a great average per rush.
I dread to think how many round Terrance West has jumped now
He is done for the year.
So not a thing.
Fuck.
Second player we've lost for the season already.
Flacco out for 3-6 weeks now.
Nice to see that nothing has changed with our medical team.
Jesus. Whatever your lot & the Chargers do to players needs to be stopped.
We both hired Arsenal physios.

Also, John Urschel (the beastly mathematician) has decided to retire. He had a strong chance to start on our offensive liner this year so he's been pulled by the money in maths or he's scared as hell at having his knee ripped to shreds.
At least Kaepernick would give you a run game.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...gns-another-qb
Signed David Olson of Champions Indoor Football league fame instead of Kap
Brilliant, he might as well retire now.
Oh and it's not a true day without a Raven injury/retirement.
This time it's Crockett Gilmore with a leg injury.
No word yet on how bad it is though.
According to Zrebiec, Gillmore grabbed his knee at first, and limped off the field with the help of trainers. In a post-practice press conference, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said that it is too early to know the severity of the injury.
Flacco can breathe a sigh of relief.

Gillmore could be out for the season.
As could Maurice Canady who was favoured to start after Tavon Young got injured for the season.
The cuts are going to be easy for us this season, at this rate we wont even have 53 to choose from.
Gillmore has torn his meniscus and will need surgery tomorrow. Same injury as Dixon so could be out for the season depending on how bad the tear is.
We've signed former Giants TE, Larry Donnell.
I like Donnell but he's just as injury prone as all our other players so it's clearly going to end well.
I'd have rather signed Gary Barnidge tbh.
Branden Albert obviously didn't fancy the Jags.

How does he still have a job?
Rookie guard Tony Siragusa done for the season today. He was likely going to be our starting left guard.
Also Quincy Adeboyejo (a WR) had to be carted off the field and Perriman injured his right leg.
Plus Gillmore is officially out for the season and Canady is looking likely to be out for that long too.
They should just give up already. They'd have less injuries if they were sword fighting in practice.
Indeed:
Pitta (dead)
Dixon (out for the season)
Gillmore (out for the season)
Young (out for the season)
Canady (likely out for the season)
Flacco (out for a few weeks)
Perriman (injured leg/hamstring)
Siragusa (knee destroyed)
Adeboyejo (carted off might be serious)
Urschel (retired, turned to maths).
I'd say you should just go into TANK MODE, but you have to face the Browns twice a year so there's no way you'd finish with anything better than the fourth pick.
I'm fully expecting a run out at Wembley at this rate.
I reckon I could line up as a nose tackle.
Me and Brandon Williams would stuff the whole thing up.
Chargers Rookie Forrest Lamp has torn his ACL
Will Fuller has broken his collar bone
Sterling Shepherd has a low ankle sprain
Jay Ajayi has a concussion
Dominique Easley has torn his ACL
This makes me feel slightly better about the Ravens losing EVERYONE.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...threeyear-deal
We've signed Austin Howard on a three year deal.
I like the signing a lot.
Edit: Gillmore cut to make way. I hope we get him back though as I still think he could have a future in the league.
Jay Cutler has come out of retirement to join the Dolphins due to Tannehill's injury.
Good signing for them. The retirement was a bit premature and he did really well under Gase before.
That's a whole lot of money for Cutler too. $10 mill apparently.
Matt Moore must be pissed, probably thought it was going to be his chance to play.
He had a chance to play and then we got mollywopped by the Steelers in the playoffs.
Sounds like Siemian and Lynch are exciting precisely nobody in training camp.
