How embarrassing for Paul Daley. All that talking before the fight and he barely threw a punch.

MacDonald might be my favourite fighter.
Twonk about to fight now shouted 'this is Sparta' in his opponents face at the weigh ins. Christ knows how he wasn't immediately laughed out of the room.
EDIT - He got fucking smashed. That'll do.
Alexander Gustafsson.
His hands are extraordinary. As is his fiance.
Mateeeeee, a really hope Holloway does it tonight. Should be a cracker either way.
I reckon Holloway will do it. If he does I could see him defending the belt maybe once or twice and moving up. He's already knocked off most of the divsion in the last three years.
Yeah, it's ridiculous how good he is for how young he is. I'd imagine he'd love a crack at McGregor but then McGregor beat him with relative ease with one leg.
What a fucking fight.
He was about nine years old when he fought McGregor and he's torn apart eleven fighters in a row since then. If he bulked up to make Light I reckon he would give McGregor a serious fight.
Beautiful counter uppercut in the featured prelim bout just now.
The main event tonight will either be a total shitfest or one of those mad shootouts where neither man can quite knock the other out, like Hunt v Bigfoot. Or a ten second knockout I suppose, but that goes without saying with heavyweights.
I still watch MMA but the amount of UFC events is fucking insane these days. Sod watching it every weekend pretty much.
They are putting on far too many events at the moment, but every card has at least one fight with the potential to be a cracker so I wind up recording them all at the very least.
The next numbered event is essential though. Cowboy v Robbie Lawler, Whittaker v Yoel Romero for the interim, Werdum v Overeem, and Pettis v Jim Miller. Every one of those could be a fight of the year.
McGregor v Mayweather confirmed.
He's going to embarrass himself.
A loss does nothing to him. He's getting rich and that's all he cares about. Can go back to MMA without a jot in the world, though I think he's done for some reason.
Should really be putting Mayweather in an Arm Bar
It does neither of them any harm unless one of them ends up dead. That's unlikely from either corner.
Aye and if, somehow, Mayweather loses, its just an exhibition so doesn't tarnish his record.
I'm actually excited.
If only because if it was going to be an MMA match then it would have been a complete blowout.
Then its a good job he isn't gonna lose.
Pointless and shameless.
It's a complete circus.
I concur with Waff that McGregor is probably finished. He isn't going to go from boxing Mayweather to boxing the lower classes in an actual attempt to build a later life boxing career, and he isn't going to make sevent five million for fighting Mayweather and then go back to make four million or whatever in a much harder fight in which he actually has something to lose.
Making a colossal fortune has been his ultimate end game since day one, this fulfills it, he'll walk away.
This annoys me. Four years ago McGregor was already a two weight Cage Warriors champion and had just picked up sixty grand for a knockout of the night in his UFC debut.
As someone who knows fuck all about UFC other than watching CM Punk get battered a few months ago, is there any reason why this can't be an MMA match? Is McGregor strictly a boxer in UFC, or does he also grapple/kick or whatever?
Floyd probably doesn't want to be on the end of a horrendous pasting.
He's primarily a boxer, but there's a minimum level of competence in all areas required to not just immediately get blootered to death. His ground game isn't great, but he's one away from a black belt in Jiu Jitsu which is good enough that a complete novice like Mayweather wouldn't be able to cope. McGregor would have a hundred weapons Mayweather wouldn't be able to defend against, and even something as simple as a solid leg kick will fuck you up if you don't know how to check it or to at least shift your weight to limit the damage.
It would genuinely be over in thirty seconds if it was an MMA bout.
It would be another Toney-esque fight:
Oh. It's being discussed in here. It's a boxing match you showers.
The thing finally being announced seems to have brought half the UFC roster out to say they want to be boxers too. Cristiane Justino wants to fight Cecilia Braekhus, Stipe Miocic wants Anthony Joshua, wrestling focused Wilson Reis hilariously wants Gervonta Davis, and Cub Swanson for some reason wants to fight Paulie Malignaggi.
Cristiane Justino vs Cecilia Braekhus would be a legitimate superfight in women's combat sports, but the rest of those are piddling. Stipe Miocic v Anthony Joshua sounds big on the face of it, but they have three title defenses between them and Joshua would uppercut him into the arena lights in the first round.
Muhammad Ali vs Giant Baba was all about kicking, to be fair. That was dumb.
Matt Hughes is in critical condition, having been airlifted to hospital after a 'truck vs train collision'.
Germaine de Randamie is set to be stripped of her title for refusing to fight 'Cyborg'.
This will see Cyborg take on Megan Anderson (the Invicta featherweight champion) for the title at UFC 214.
It's worth seeking out the Holm fight from earlier. The end of the fight has better comedic timing than most sitcoms.
The 'European IMMAF Championships' are on BT right now, with the first fight for some reason involving an American.
Tim Hague has died.
He competed in a boxing match a couple of days ago and was declared brain dead after being knocked out but just passed away.
Was 1-4 in the UFC after tapping out Pat Barry before getting knocked out by Todd Duffee & Matt Mitrione and losing on points to Chris Tuchscherer and Joey Beltran.
Knocked out 4 times in MMA and twice in boxing.

De Randamie has said she had no idea that she was going to be stripped of her title despite being heavily mooted for weeks.
Her own managers even said they'd rather be stripped/let the title go before facing Cyborg.
Johny Hendricks can't even make middleweight now, came in at 188.
McGregor wants to face Khabib in Russia after Mayweather apparently.
Is Jonny Bones really fighting Cormier on 30th July? SkyBet want me to bet on it.
I'm a twit
Amanda Nunes has pulled out, citing illness. The doctor cleared her to fight but she's refusing.
Joanna Jedrezczyk has apparently offered to step in if they'll make it for an interim.
That Johnson v Gaethje fight from last night. Blimey.
Yeah I saw it earlier. A proper war.
What the Dickens has happened to Travis Browne? I've lolled at him in the past, but he's getting cracked here by a bloke with forty odd submission wins on his record. He was a beast in the stand-up before, but he seems to have completely lost whatever skill he once had.
Pettis looked as good in that first round as he has in years.
Bisping is buzzing he doesn't have to face Romero
Whittaker will kick his cunt in anyway.
That UFC 214 card is absolutely bonkers.
