Philbin has got to go
Philbin has got to go
Myers sitting the bed.
Kaepernick throwing a pick? I'm stunned.
I think Kelly gets away with it because he actually does have a plan. He's been kinda screwed by the NFL deciding to allow open season to the QB after handoffs on the read-option, though. Plus I don't think even he knows what he was thinking with the whole Sam Bradford thing.
I'd be willing to give him a bit of extra time to adjust his offense and get a QB in place who has more mobility than a glacier. The rest of the team is OK, the defense is still functioning.
They'd do a fuckton better if they played to Demarco Murray's strengths and let him run up the middle a few times.
He's no Lesean McCoy, yet they keep playing him like he is.
I don't think their offensive line has much hope of opening the kind of holes Murray likes up the middle against most teams.
Couldn't understand why they signed a player like that at all.
Yea, because Shady and his one hamstring would be better than the NFL's leading rusher.
But they're not playing to that rusher's strengths, they're still playing to Shady's strengths.
Obviously Elth but I'd rather have Murray running straight through the pack (even if the holes are small) than trying to bounce it outside on every single play.
Lynch is ruled out for later, but Rawls has already shown more than Turbin and Christine Michael managed so here's hoping.
I think I'd rather have Mathews actually trying to get a few yards outside than 3 rushes for -1 yards and a punt.
They've systematically changed their offensive line to be mobile and fast. They're just not built to open holes up the middle - they're built to seal the edge and get guys in space, then do it again every 15 seconds.
The constant hurry-up offence needs to go. If you have a 3-and-out it's only taking 20-30 seconds off the clock.
Philbin has been fired.
The Denver defense.
The Denver offense.
The Saints won a game
Admittedly it was against Dallas without their starting QB or best reciever. And they got rid of their star RB last year. And they had their best defensive player go off injured during the game. And their return guy got injured too. And we only won in overtime. But still, a win is a win.
Have there ever been more kicks missed in a day of football than yesterday, by the way? Total madness.
There has, but I think they said it was the 2nd most since 2010 or something. It certainly wasn't normal. Almost all kickers look shit this year.
On Saturday during practice, Tannehill, after a couple of practice squad players forced turnovers, Tannehill made negative comments toward them, including saying: “Enjoy your practice squad paycheck, enjoy your practice squad trophy.”
Sources say this has been going on for the past few weeks as the practice squad players have been intercepting Tannehill and frustrating the former Texas A&M wide receiver turned quarterback. ...
Philbin told the practice squad players to take it easy on Tannehill to not affect the young quarterback’s confidence.
Fucking hell.
Jesus wept. Any coach worth his salt would have told him to just beat them.
So Luck appears out completely for tonight and Hasselback has been in hospital through the week with illness.
Suddenly fancy the Texans in this one.
So glad Philbin is out, we needed this bye week too.
Did someone mention RedZone is in HD now?
T.Eifert is on my fantasy bench. He's already got a touchdown.
Seething.
Brees starting like Brees and Bradford starting like Bradford. Excellent news.
That cutler mishap was brilliant.
The state of that Aaron Rodgers pick though.
At the risk of repeating last weeks cursing. I'll say again that the Eagles quick passing game really is getting going. Some shambolic drops from our WRs though.
Finally Rodgers chucks one to the opposition.
It's a harsh interception really. It's more a fumble than a pick when a pass gets flapped in the air like that.
This Saints/Eagles game is shite enough for me to resort to RedZone on the computer and the Scotland game on TV. I can't think of a season that has so many average/poor teams in it, the best teams are just miles ahead of the pack.
4 fumbles and a pick helps, but we looked a lot better this week.
Cairo Santos for the win on a 66 yarder?
Miles off
The #scenes if he would have made that.
Giving up 400+yds to Josh McCown and the Cleveland Browns, what's up with that shit @Mahow?
It also doesn't help that Mosely, who is usually incredible in coverage, can't get near Gary fucking Barnidge today.
Jamaal Charles out for the season by the sound of it.
EDIT: Lol @ the Lions being 28-7 at home before the 2 minute warning.
Another reason why the Ravens secondary was so poor was that Dumervil was out for the second half (so less pressure on McCown), then Will Davis was knocked out of the game (torn ACL), then Webb and finally Arrington in the fourth quarter.
We had a safety playing in the nickel with a rookie playing outside of a hobbling Jimmy Smith.
It's time to unleash Charles James on the league
So fucking awesome on Hard Knocks.
Jason Babin and Rashaan Melvin waived to bring up Asa Jackson and Charles James to the active roster.
Tebow shirt came. Unfortunately I think XL is just too much. It's more towards the larger scale of the measurements. It's a pain in the ass there are no stores to try these on in the UK. I could probably get away with it wearing a long sleeve shirt underneath so it's not horrific.
Still, not sure to keep or try and sell on.
I just found out that John Urschel (Baltimore Ravens guard) is pretty handy at maths.

He co-wrote this paper.
In this paper, we develop a cascadic multigrid algorithm for fast computation of the Fiedler vector of a graph Laplacian, namely, the eigenvector corresponding to the second smallest eigenvalue. This vector has been found to have applications in fields such as graph partitioning and graph drawing. The algorithm is a purely algebraic approach based on a heavy edge coarsening scheme and pointwise smoothing for refinement. To gain theoretical insight, we also consider the related cascadic multigrid method in the geometric setting for elliptic eigenvalue problems and show its uniform convergence under certain assumptions. Numerical tests are presented for computing the Fiedler vector of several practical graphs, and numerical results show the efficiency and optimality of our proposed cascadic multigrid algorithm.
Having read the returns guide that came with the top, it's almost pointless sending it back. They don't seem to cover the cost of shipping back and it states they will not cover the original shipping cost. The shirt itself cost $60 and if I shipped it back I'd probably come out of the whole thing with about £30, having spent £65.
It's wearable, with a hoodie or long sleeved t-shirt underneath, but not an ideal fit. The Mrs has suggested eBaying it and trying again. Though doing that wouldn't get me a shirt at sale price, so I looked at the 'limited' range(more premium materials, names and numbers are stitched on, not printed) and thanks to nearly $60 worth of shipping/taxes, that would come out at about £125 all in. Getting the same one again, not in a sale would be just over £90.
I want one that fits me just on principle now, but either way it's all a bigger hassle than if we just had a decent UK store.
Might sit up & watch us get shat on by the Falcons for a bit tonight. Wanted to watch the Thursday game last week as I had three days in a row off but my internet died & has only just come back so I'm going to make up for it while I can.
We've been shit on defence for a good three seasons, and now the offence is falling apart as well it does seem like there's talk of Payton and/or Brees heading out the door before next season, along with Rob Ryan - who really ought to go considering we've gone from bad to awful on defence - all of which could lead to a very interesting offseason, even if the rest of this year is pretty horrible.
When you get trounced by Chip Kellys' Eagles, something has gone badly wrong. We looked terrible up until the Saints game last week and then smashed you. Hopefully it's a good game at least. I don't really want to play Brees tonight but I have little choice.
We have a terrible secondary, no pass rush, no running game & a deteriorating passing game.
On the bright side we have two young recievers who might not be shit, and the potential for some good draft picks & a lot of free cap room in the near future. Woohoo...
I will be strange to see a Saints without Brees. He's been there a good 10 years now right?
2006, apparently. I have no idea about college football, so I don't know if there's anyone good coming up that could be drafted, otherwise I guess we'll end up having to try to nick a placeholder QB from somewhere or hold on to Brees for one more year & pray.
I hear Tim Tebow is available.
