The beta is live.
The features video they made a few days ago was very disappointing. Basically, the only actually new feature is pre-contract talks, the rest is all just existing features being accessible from the inbox screen. I just hope the match engine is well improved from 16, I did not really enjoy that game. (full-backs getting ridiculously high grades, etc.) compared to 15. Also they are really putting a lot of emphasis on the new "social media" thing which I think is just going to be a cringy news section.
In the end, the game interface and 'features' are probaby as good as they can be atm, so it's not awful that they can't find a way to improve it. What's important to me is that the match engine works well.
Does this mean they'll try so hard to make brexit a feature that it'll just become complete overkill and dictate the whole game?
Walked into the Liverpool job

So in other words, unless you get option 3, it's almost as is.
Option 3 seems like it would massively crack down on you buying all the non-UK wonderkids up. Depending on how extreme it goes it could well force you into a HGH approach.
What about the 'Corbyn gets elected' option in which all clubs become member-owned soviets and the maximum wage is introduced?
.....
They're going the same way as FIFA and its nonsense 'Journey' stuff. Prioritising 'narrative' features over actual game-enhancing changes. The main issue is that FM has always been about player-created universes.
Trying to force social media nonsense and the like into it is just going to come off terribly. The press conferences (trying to mimic 'mind games' from the Ferguson/Mourinho era) are stilted and end up massively tedious.
.....
This, rather than the game engine, is definitely what they should be focusing their time on.
The matches still look like everyone's skating on glass
Think I'll stick with 16 for a while so they can sort all the stupid bugs and stuff out.
You can't play the demo without buying the game these days? Poor
This is the 'beta', then there's a demo after a couple of weeks I think and then the release is a couple of weeks after that. Then you wait for three patches and a transfer window and it's playable...
Genius move from SI mind you, get a bunch of fans to pay so that they can test the game.
The manager face generation is spot on.
I see loads of people who look like that.
He even had his own TV show
Marcus Rashford has 1 for positioning :/ Even as a Liverpool fan I think that's just stupid.
He might be one of those that plays beyond his stats.
He doesn't look like he's been done justice there though.
Shite determination and natural fitness. Doesn't look anywhere near promising enough (compared to normal FM HYPE). Oderegaard or whatever his name is was ridiculous just before he signed for Madrid.
I didn't know that until the last two/three years either. SI's fault for not explaining what the attributes mean.
Hover over the attribute and it tells you what it's for.
Oh... It wasn't always like that.
how many things are sponsored by brexit now
What would it yake to get a Bruhxit?
Well that's not nice.
edit: @ Spikey
Random attributes I'm sure, he had higher determination on my quick look at it earlier. Majority of youth players have randomised Determination as they haven't had a career long enough to judge it, Tielemans was random determination and natural fitness last year. Also why a lot of youths have shit big match/consistency stats til they play loads of em.
How's the match engine feeling so far?
Like every year.
I started up in November 2016, and took over bottom of league 2 side Coventry. 1 point from my first three games was a bit shit, but 17 from next 21 available has lifted us to 21st, and climbing to safety. Unfortunately this league is pretty realistic - every fucker beats every fucker so the sides in 20th and 19th are still 4 points ahead. Still, going well considering I've had no money to turn things around.
.....
Release date is November 4th. I'll probably just wait and get it for Christmas.
I'm a twit

Woah now, that's League 1 thank you very much. Bottom of L2 will be November 2017.

The saddest part is he got worked up enough over a video game to make a statement
I so hope this scenario happens in GS or CJ's games. New computers all round.
