Good to have the quite excellent Daniel Sturridge back today and three goals as well. Just got to ignore what happened down the other end. I'm sure we were 'excellent and showed character' though.
They're just going to have to score a hundred goals again to be competitive, with the likes of Skrtel, Sakho, Lovren and Ming 'playing football' at the back. Still, nice to beat Villa at Anfield for the first time in ages.

Felt sorry for him watching the end of that to be honest. You can see it's taking its toll on him. Yes he has pissed me off over the past season but he also produced the best football I have ever seen Liverpool play and that wasn't all just down to having one brilliant player.

3 goals and a win. But awful at the back.
I think it's harsh to write off the mental season they had as being purely down to 1/2 players being bang at it. They had the quality banging in the goals, but the general play of the whole team was exceptional and truth be told as good as anything this league has ever seen. He's been unlucky with injuries and players turning into cunts since, but I think his underlying philosophy is still bang on and as good as there is around.
I'd agree with that, and I don't know what anyone expected to happen when Suarez bounced and they were left with Sturridge (who must have osteomalacia or something) and Balotelli (lol) to lead the line.
I still think he should get a lot more time. A lot more.
