It's that time of year again when the British Academy of Film and Television give more British actors awards than strictly deserve it.
It's on BBC1 at 9, but as every year it's not live (why?) so no 'spoilers' please.

It's not live so they can edit it, obviously.
Is it still Stephen Fry hosting? He causes me pain.
The Lobster, directed in Ireland by a Greek man, is nominated for best British film. I know a British production company was involved but so were producers from about seventeen other countries.
Is Fry an arsehole? He always seems very nice to me. I know he can be a knob when he's depressed, but that's depressed people for you.
I once read Stephen Fry being described as a stupid person's idea of a smart person, which I thought was quite apt.
I don't think Russell Brand would be anybody's go to image of "that smart man on telly".
I don't mind Fry but I'd rather he stuck to being creative, making comedy and acting and whatever he wants to do. I don't know why he has to spend his time trying to be a man of letters.
How's the whites-to-blacks ratio looking so far chaps?
I bet dquincy think's Russel Brand is a smart TV personality/comedian. Can't believe that fucker is probably the best paid on here imo.
I'm not saying they would, what I was clumsily trying to get it is that if you asked the average Briton to name, "that smart guy comedian", Stephen Fry would probably be the most common answer. I expect Russell Brand wouldn't feature particularly high on the list, whatever his fleeting popularity among wannabe-rebellious young voters.
I still really need to see Amy.
Most 'good' comedians are pretty smart, and that probably includes bilge like McIntyre and Bishop. I wouldn't class Fry as a comedian, though.
That's the first clip I've seen of Mad Max since I made the abysmal decision to go to the cinema to see it. It made me feel a bit queasy.
Fuck me, the Leader of the Opposition did actually go to Russell Brand's house during an election campaign, didn't he?
Just realised this utter shit is pushing MotD back far enough to make tomorrow unbearable if I stay up for it.
How is Christian Bale up for best supporting actor for The Big Short.
I know it's an ensemble cast, but he's in it more than anyone else.
Winslet's faux breathless winning speeches really are the worst.
Is she still fit?
Immeasurably so.
It's up there with the obelisk.
And we wonder why the electorate swerved Ed Miliband's Labour.
Lulu would still get one.
The BAFTAs would only make sense if it was exclusively British. When it does stuff like this it's like when tinpot universities give degrees to famous people to get their name in the paper.
Loving the Oscar snipes.
Probably no need to watch his speech at the Oscars now.
Not a patch on Matthew.
Funnily enough in that thread, when he was still near universally popular, you remarked that he "hadn't made the most of his talent".
Right, and?
That isn't far from what Delakingois - obviously a Blackadder fan - said himself. So unless you're calling yourself wrong I sense we might have witness some backtracking soon.
What? How is that anywhere near saying he was on too many things and 'basically an arsehole'?
Didn't see this thread going 8 pages but fair play.
Is The Revenant gonna clean up at the Oscars now? Wasn't a huge fan, the scenery was the star, but It's better than most of the major contenders I suppose.
Room should win best picture and Brie Larson should win best actress, but neither will happen.
I didn't know QI was still going. That soon got boring, and now Sandi Toksvig is going to present it. Jesus.
