They're only there because the public, or subsets thereof, have voted to put them there.
I don't even need to crack out the George Carlin quote on that one.
All the clowns who voted for Trump are going to be doing their best Scooby Doo 'ruh row' impressions when Donny gets the US into a needless war and starts drafting them.
Isn't he literally a FRAUD now?
Probably. Haven't paid much attention lately.
Bernie would win in 2020, I tell you. And I wouldn't it past him to give it a run either.
Bernie has three houses and complains that rich people horde things. The man's an actual fraud.
It's because we've infantilised the electorate by offering them easy solutions (supposedly) to complex problems. They think things are easy, and therefore anybody can do the job. It's why things like "being relatable" or placing them on the "he cares!!" 1 to 10 scale suddenly matters to such a degree.
He would have beaten Trump easily, I've concluded.
No, about yachts and cars.
Give "us" a break indeed. Owning multiple homes obviously doesn't count. As I said, the man's a fraud. It's easy to talk the game to get naive youngsters on board, mind you.
Most top commies, historically, have been quite decently off to start with. You don't have enough time to think up all that bollocks if you have to work in the fields/down a mine for a living.
So the party is only 1/3rd fascist.
That's a dreadful leading question tbf.
Quick picture of Bernies third house the big old fraud.
Phwoar! The guys been in one of the best paying jobs in the country for 40 years. I'd be fucking worried if he was struggling for pennies.
Bernie Sanders’ public disclosures show that his net worth is between $194,026 and $741,030, Politico reported. The news site says that Bernie’s assets are listed in his wife, Jane’s, name, and include investment funds.
However, Politico said Sanders also listed $25,002-$65,000 in credit card debt.
Some media sources use the higher figure when they report Bernie’s net worth at $700,000. He is far poorer than most in Congress; the median net worth in 2013 was $1 million for those serving in Congress. In the Senate, the median income was $2.8 million. Sanders also has a lower net worth than other presidential candidates.
The house thing is pretty lol.
Bernies Audi TT is pretty sweet too
I'm not even mad
How can my moral compass say "make all the money !!" But want Bernie to live poor because he's a communist Marxist socialist blahist ?
Take advantage of capitalism my boy
The house was $600,000, phonics. I don't care that he bought another house, but you can't criticise rich people for buying high-priced materialistic assets they don't need when you're a rich person buying high-priced materialistic assets you don't need.
It's a bit like Jeremy Irons complaining in an interview about inequality only to have the interviewer point out that he owns seven homes. "Yes, homes are my only extravagance." Quite.
Apparently the Republicans had a file of opposition research on Bernie that was about six inches thick. I don't know how it would have played out obviously, but trying to out populist the populist may not have been too successful. If you think about the states where Trump won it (I'm thinking of the rust belt specifically), you suspect they would still have got behind Trump's anti NAFTA, high tariff protectionism.
'Binders of opposition research'
Who would you rather had those expensive homes? The people who can't afford them or people who can? I agree it's hypocritical but hypocrisy is everywhere. I could find it in you, me, everyone.
As I said, I personally don't care he bought a third home. He has the money, he should do what he wants with it. What I'm not having is the hypocrisy of criticising other people for doing exactly what he's doing himself. As you may have gathered, this sort of hypocrisy is the reason I can't hack the socialists.
But the right's guilty of it too. Can you not just accept that those in the political circles have the bread to buy extra shit?
This is weak sauce. Bernie is the man.
Also, on Russia, I continue to be of the view that there's fuck all to it other than probably a bit of stupidity on behalf of the Trump campaign. The Democrats and the media aligned with them are getting far too much of a free pass for pushing it when there's much more serious stuff going on. Fake News indeed.
I think we can all agree that Sanders is the real problem at the moment, rather than a blinkered attempt to divert attention from the fact that the President of the US is an insane plutocrat leading a party of borderline fascists.
Because people aren't capable of two strands of argument on here at the same time.
The fact remains he won't be impeached, because the Republicans in the Senate will never vote it through. So much as the Democrats would love it, it's a non-starter. They need to start getting ready for 2020 instead of trying to re-fight 2016.
Hypocrisy like the republican Senate wanting to take subsidized medicine away from everyone. Except themselves. But those socialists!
phonics, mate, give it up.
I don't think he'll be impeached either. He probably wins 2020 too, the Democrats haven't shown any hint of pulling their heads out of their asses.
You're like a bad smell that won't go away.
Strong retort. I'm off to 'Get Ready' for an election in 3 years when the actual election that matters is next year.
In case one thinks that offing Trump will make things all good.
