Tom is tragic at everything.

So I've done at least one run of all the Hitman episodes. It's a squillion times better than Absolution though probably not quite as memorable as Blood Money's better moments. But it does some really good stuff..... just not the dreadful, barely-there story. The disguises are good and work much better than the well-intentioned changes in Absolution, the levels largely look the business (though Colorado is reeeaaaally dull) and I think the Intel / Opportunities stuff generally works really well. I've done repeat runs of some of the other missions to raise my mastery and discover other routes and I suspect I shall be doing more of that in future. As well as whatever this 'escalation' stuff is about that I've not looked at yet.
I'm also loving The Signal from Tolva. I love the diary-type entries and research logs you find and how they give you a sense of what's going on without it being a real story (so far) as such. I love that the combat and enemy AI are robust enough to provide some really tense battles. I had one there where I ran into one faction, the Zealots, and was trying to fend a few of those off myself when a patrol of Bandits turned up behind me, forcing me to pop my shield and leg it for cover. But those factions don't like each other any more than they like me, so while I reloaded and let my shield / AOE ability recharge they knocked some lumps out of each other. Eventually it was down to two Bandits and me, with my health low. I took potshots at them to get them to waste their shield charge and after trying to circle me to no effect* they rushed me. So I crouched behind cover so they couldn't get a shot then popped my shield, ran at them head-on and hit my AOE blast ability which weakened them enough for me to finish them off. And because of those recharging abilities there's a proper ebb and flow to the lengthier battles as well. If you can trick them into using their shields with pot-shots then you've got some more options on your hands, though if you're outnumbered that doesn't always help. And your loadout will make a big different here too. Surprisingly deep and I'm loving it. The other robots basically carry on without you for the most part as well. I have had a few instances where I've been on higher ground scouting an area out and then heard a gunfight going on. Sometimes it's my faction fighting enemies, sometimes enemies fighting each other. Fun stuff.
* The AI is mostly fairly basic and it's hard to tell with some of it how much is accidental and they've hit upon something that works or whether Big Robot made the AI to behave like this intentionally. Your AI chums sometimes take really weird, circuitous routes when you're just mooching about and when you're being flanked it looks much the same so perhaps the pathfinding both in and out of combat is totally intentional. It works anyway, and makes the whole thing seem more complex than it possibly.
EDIT: Christ, dunno when the last time I wrote that long a post was.
Good innit, there's a big open area of the map later on that can turn into a huge shooting gallery.
I gather there's very little chance of it happening but co-op would be fun in this.
I read something when it dame out where they said they wouldn't be doing it, which is a shame.
Yeah, I know with Sir it came out after but I think they'd said they had it in mind whereas this they seem to be staunchly behind the line of having developed it as a single-player game. Which I'm fine with and I'm loving it, but crank up the difficulty or volume of the bots and there could have been some co-op good times to be had.
Also, this Steam card mining thing means I've had to turn off "x has started playing y" pop up notifications because of it having Mahow playing a different fucking game every two minutes. Or what feels like it.
Well, I've completed the set and bought the Dark Souls 3 DLC. Still catching up with SGDQ. Breath of the Wild's up and comments are disabled which meant I had to manually find the start of the run. A minor inconvenience to avoid the abuse hurled at the transgender runner, I guess.
My flat mate has gone from calling me a geek for watching esports back when SC2 came out to watching people play Day-Z for multiple hours per night. At this point he probably consumes more video game tv content per day than I do and I watch everything that Giant Bomb and Polygon put out.
We're winning. Next year I'm going to try sit him down in front of SGDQ with games he likes.
Red tees
Think I've got the swing down now.
I wish I could golf. At least I'm improving at Dark Souls 2. Might move into challenge runs soon.
Watch me and @Baz be duffers on Battlegrounds live

I am 50% of their viewer base.
And now it's told me the stream ended right as they were in the middle of murdering some poor dude on his own.
Twitch streaming is better

Going back live now

Pff its not letting me
I assume my flatmate is downloading
EVO finals are going now.
Tekken 7 is in the losers bracket and it'll be Smash Bros. and Street Fighter 5 to finish off.
Out of interest what clubs do you use? I have been doing the career mode template seasons to improve and I'm getting there... Slowly. Definitely seeing improvements.
Finished a 4 round event on 12 under and the guy in second was 5 over. However only playing on Easy difficulty right now which seems realistic to my current standard. When I play the one round events on the harder courses with tough greens and strong winds the leader usually ends up on 2 or 3 over, and I'm about that level. Currently sitting in 3rd overall for the season with 5 events left. I am absolutely loving it, even if I am 10 over through 9, I can still watch out for the Frenchman in 1st and the American in 2nd and hope they are doing just as terrible.
Played a few courses with a mate last night and just discovered "Turn Play". Makes the online play so much better that I get to watch his shot and then he watches mine. Adds pressure to each hole instead of just trying to beat a score he has already posted.
Tour clubs, and I use default bag apart from removing a wood and bringing in a GW which is a Godsend around the greens. I basically go 279yard Driver then a leap down to 245yards as my next club, but deloft that and you get some beautiful roll on it so I can hit the 250-270 yard range easily unless way uphill. Oh, forgot, I swapped a club or two for Hybrids too, very good clubs.
Red tees = Driveable par 4s aplenty with Tour clubs
I normally play off black tees but that was a Society event. Kudos on the improvement man, its a damn good feeling. Does the French guy have a surname of Zito or Fritto, perhaps?
One more boss down in the Dark Souls II DLC. Aava's an alright scrap. Like Sif but if he was a tiger and smaller. They seem to have done a thing where durability really becomes a factor on bosses, though. This and Sinh had me readying alternative weapons in case my main didn't last the fight. I don't fancy doing Ancient Dragon. That is the worst boss in the series and beating him once was enough. I think you can farm the giants in Black Gulch for the fifth soul and then I'll take on Vendrick.
EDIT: They patched that out. From, you bastards.
Can't say I've had this happen to me ... but I want it to.
Also, Dark Souls now has a boss rush mod.
Got a PS4 Pro for £120. Love living in a shit area, some cunt nabbed three and four PSVRs, selling em off cheap. PSVR was £160 but aint worth it imo, despite the wow factor.
How long before he steals it back and sells it to someone else?
Tbv he only steals from lorries and/or supermarkets. Used to get me brand new 360 games and sell 'em me for a tenner. Give him a list, the mad cunt.
Oh, that's fair game then. I thought he was robbing houses.
They've probably put PS Plus up by a tenner specifically for that truckload. Victimless crime? Do me a favour.
Disco's in bed with the man.
Psychonauts. It's good. Some god awful camera bollocks with one of the bosses but I'm at the Milkman level and the game has hit its stride.
So as well as bits and pieces of Many A True Nerd and my apparent quest to consume as much Game Grumps as possible I'm watching "Two Best Friends Play Resident Evil 7." Which is probably the way I'm happiest seeing it.
What other good Let's Play-type channels should I be giving a look?
Achievement Hunter can be good at times along with their LetsPlay channel which has other people use their network if your running out of ideas.
... this will end well.
Watch Car Boys.
I found Car Boys insufferably dull after a couple of episodes but I am enjoying the 'We go to hell' thing or whatever they're doing, mostly because I'm fascinated in this emulator that gives you a freecam inside an emulator and watching all the graphics tricks.
Tacoma is out, and at £15 my job for the weekend is to resist buying it.
The other Polygon one I liked was Monster Factory, at the very least watch the Second Life episodes, they're the best.
Is that a "Dishonored is four hours long" ninety minutes?
How long to beat has it down as under 3 hours that's based on one person. Human shit pile DarksydePhil took 3.5 hours because he's a slow boy.
Rimworld.
Touted to me as Dwarf Fortress but easier to get into and with a UI that doesn't make you want to rip your own fingernails out. Thoughts?
