I feel like I never really got to experience any of the total headcases (except me lol!!) because I got involved so late. Except that Angel saint bloke who just seemed like a wind up merchant rather than disabled. The lack of aggro compared to when I used to lurk is probably a good thing, but the drama was pretty funny at times. I saw snippets of the OLD-old-board (~2004??) and it just seemed like mental people shouting at each other.
Pre 2002 was an orgy of in jokes and obscure pop culture references. They must all be in their 40s now.

2001 for me. Started very late 99/early 00 iirc. Place was pure aggro a lot of the time around 03/04 as Mellin, R1 and a fair few others were essentially team fuckwit and you had the GR lot and a few others who were older hating us. There were legitimately great posters then but in general 80% of posters were utter dreck.
Hornet is still one of the best, he only made about 1500 posts or so and stopped after a few years Plus Challinor.

That's pretty accurate. I'm nearly into my 15th year (7 Jan 03 birthday) and this is the one I have started to slow down. This place is a million* times better than any other types of social media.
