I googled "shipped x past" with the x being different numbers (3 thru 5) and tons of people have used the phrase like that.

No, what I said was "we shipped (v.) past tense - "transport (goods or people)" 6 past New England", as in we took the ball and transported it into the net by means of head and foot.

'Shipping' also means taking on water.
If you're committed to this thing though you should say 'shipped the ball', not the goal.
