The wife got me this for Christmas. Switch version, which is supposed to be shitter, but I am liking it so far. Two questions:
How the fuck do you cross? None of my crosses end up anywhere near any of my players.
How do you have so much money on UT? Last couple of times I tried I always ended up with very little money, definitely not enough to get IFs and whatnot.
You need to get lucky and pull players in the packs.
And because of all the SBCs/objectives/game mode rewards you will have a lot more packs.
A LOT Of them are now untradeable becuase of the sbc which is annoying
Due to all the special SBC's (like Futmas) it's also easier than ever to make coins from trading. Just buy 83's and 84's when they hit a low (during a time of no special SBC's) and sell up when the Special SBC's hit.
Got back on this this weekend after a couple of weeks break due to it being hectic at work and the game feeling like a bit of a slog.
Think I'll cruise to an Elite 3 finish in Squad Battles despite missing all of the games during the week. The lack of FIFA fatigue (having had a break helps), but I've been smashing the shit out of teams on Legendary - I'm determined to get at least 1 top 100 finish at some point during this game.
In terms of players, I've been swapping IF Goretzka and SIF Kimmich in game and the former is quite brilliant at full back. Marauds down the wings like a beast and finishes chances for breakfast (something I find natural full backs struggle with irrespective of their shooting stats). Oh and then there's TOTGS Ben Yedder, who's just mustard - 52 goals and 45 assists in 48 games.
I'll post the squads up later and where I'd like to improve it next, which I'm itching to do.
Got Van Persie on my initial pack so I decided to build my squad around him. Currently donning a front three of Van Persie, Sneijder, and Eto'o.
SIF Young or IF Alonso?
Young is better going forward and Alonso is better defensively. I like my full backs to get forward and defending is a bombscare anyway so I would go Young.
Looks like price is exactly the same too. So you could buy, try and switch out. Mad Alaba is the same cost on Xbox
Current team I'm rocking. After a few games, alaba has two goals and two assists. Should have bought him sooner. Since my last team update, ive now dropped scary bender in favour of Guilavogui . Guilavogui stays back as a CDM much better . I checked the stats and his offensive support is on medium compared to bender which is high. Is that the way it works. In theory, the best CDM have offensive support on low? Kruse players so much better than James in CAM. I use griezmann as a sub and swap him out between the front three. IF Gnabry is so good. Small, quick and super strong. Thiago has been dropped as he just isn't strong enough for my play style in CM. Next step would be buying Boateng 100%, then maybe an IF Tolisso or Goretzka depending on how I'm feeling and the final piece of the puzzle is IF Lewa
Also, if anyone can link someone playing squad battles on tactical defending on legendary difficulty so I can see there play-style?

I think this is it (assuming you did the new one that ticked over at midnight but you dont need anything good for them), however there is an expectation there will be another TOTW SBC coming up in a week or 2. So prices should go up.
Finished last 4 and the best I got was Jesus. Apparently he isnt worth shit anymore so I might go full sweat on my second side and get him in there.

Haven't managed to work him in yet, bar a couple of games from the bench. Might have a crack when I've done this quartet of SBC's.

Can't speak for Germans specifically, but due to those SBC's a load of players are selling for 1-1.5k+ Been through my club with a fine toothcomb today and must have sold close to 300 players, made an absolute killing.
I see the Prime Icon SBC's are cheaper now than they've been for a while too.

Decided to buy SIF Mooy to give him a go in place of Fernandinho for a few games.
I wasn't planning on selling Fernandinho but by christ is Mooy gold. Has been a bit unlucky in the games but it's a great balance, I didn't need someone as defensive as Fernandinho (although there's not much difference between the two) after buying Vieira but he's so much better going forward.
I've got him too, but can't work out how to get him into one of my sides on full chem.

Bought TOTGS Ben Yedder to give him a go.
First game online and my opponent rage quits after 20 game minutes at 3-1 with 2 Ben Yedder goals.
Hattrick in the second game (he also had one come off the post which was put in by Mooy), I wasn't planning on selling OTW Lukaku but he's gone if/when he gets another IF.
Thought I might struggle as he's not the strongest but he's brilliant.
Little surprised that he doesn't have the finesse shot trait because it feels like he does.
