This was like 2 lolz in one:
Carra "Liverpool have become Spurs, think they're a big club but the top teams ain't worried about them or who they buy"

Goodnight sweet prince.
The owners must have expected to lose today.
Imagine the meeting if they'd won.
At least if they get Zee German he might know what to do with Firmino. Harry Redknapp or Sam Allardyce though.
Klopp is actually basically perfect for them on paper. Whether that should set alarm bells ringing I don't know. I imagine there are far, far fewer wankers in German football than here but if he can deal with that he'd probably do a job. 4th is wide open anyway so I don't see why a good appointment shouldn't get them there.
Did you mean to post that in the Mourinho watch thread?
Carragher looks like he'll be reporting Henry to whoever blew the whistle on Keys and Gray.
GS is right. Looking back, this should really have been straight after that Stoke game.
Most of the apparent candidates were wanting time out/having surgery or whatever at that time though, which was probably a factor.
It would of came at some point, i thought he was of lasted until Christmas.
I'm surprised at this more than Advocaat going. They weren't in crisis. They were settling into a middling campaign of possible Europa League footy. Given how topsy-turvy life under Kenny and Roy was, that was a blessing. Plus they almost won a title. Put your prestige aside because its about the here and now and, right here and now Liverpool aren't in bother.
I'll tell you what, today's events must be maddening for those who put money on Rodgers to be the next sacked.
The Advocat thing just snowballed.
Ancelotti's face makes that.
The Brent one is brilliant, and that Wolf of Wall Street one is pretty good (although they've clearly rushed making it). That one is seriously crap though.
Carraghers face
If both Ancelotti and Klopp want the job it would be tough to pick between them.
Think Jurgen Klopp would buy into the 'Liverpool Way' so completely that I'd want to be sick watching his press conferences.
I'd love to be party to the briefing pack that a new, foreign Liverpool manager must get.
The Hillsborough Disaster - this was a terrible disaster in 1989. The 96 people who died in it are known as 'The 96', and require (non-specific) justice.
The Boot Room - this is a room in which your players gather such coaching knowledge that we will be able to replace you more cheaply in a few years' time. Sadly, due to Tory cutbacks, the Boot Room had to be closed in 1992.
The Anfield Rap - please do not, repeat DO NOT attempt to discover what this is, especially if you are German.
King Kenny - the best player in football history, King Kenny is also available for help with any moral or philosophical challenges you may have.
You'll Never Walk Alone - despite being the worst piece of music ever composed, a knowledge of and ability to sing this dirge at all times is a vital part of your job. Please learn the words and if any particularly sentimental moments occur - there should be at least 12 a day - consider leading a chorus of it yourself.
Don't forget you get a free 3-year supply of black arm bands.
I'm a twit
Klopp or Ancelotti is the kind of diametrically opposed choice that bespeaks of not really having any idea what you want.
I can't really believe Carlo would be interested, mind.
Either of them would be a very good appointment.
Yeah, but Klopp is a young (ish) philosophy man who will want to change everything with the upside that he could create a lasting legacy (Rodgers Mk II), whereas Ancelotti is a wizened old hand who will make the best of what he has, but probably won't stick around forever or buy into the yank moneyball methodology.
I think Ancelotti would be the more interesting appointment, but Klopp the more likely.
Surely Liverpool already have agreed a deal with someone before sacking Rodgers right?
If they didn't ...
Football Weekly seemed to think that Klopp taking this would rule him out of taking over Bayern when Pep goes. Why exactly? Unless he has a 'mare then surely they can just buy him out if they want him.
He'd last about three seconds at Bayern. There's so much politics and all sorts of other shit there. Even Pep has fallen foul of it at times and he wins every game.
I prefer it when the big names aren't available and they end up with Hodgson.
Isn't Mark Warburton 3rd favourite or something?
Ancelotti's workplaces:
Turin
Milan
London
Paris
Madrid
I'm not sure Liverpool fits the mould.
F.C. Tokyo will probably have him.
Ancelotti has no reason to go to Liverpool the way I see it. No offence to Liverpool fans, but I think Carletto prefers to go somewhere where he can challenge for the league title and, more importantly, compete in the Champions League.
Klopp I can see happening, whereas Ancelotti? Not a chance.
Surely this is exactly the sort of job Klopp was waiting for? Big club down on its luck. Just like Dortmund was when he took over.
Id be staggered if he doesn't take it.
Turin always struck me as a bit of a shithole.
Milan is nothing but, if you've ever been there.
They're Italian cities, obviously they are shitholes. I'd say they are some of the least shithole-y cities.
Apparently "Klopp has already agreed a three-year deal and will bring Zeljko Buvac, his assistant at Dortmund, with him."
Klopp would be a great appointment. He actually has some credibility.
