None of which makes the small font any less desperate and pathetic.

I'm not sure what the point of arguing these things in any depth is. Van Gaal got them back into the top four ("mate") after a terrible season under Moyes, and then won the FA Cup for the first time in over a decade last year.
He was moved on because they got, seemingly, a better manager. Whether he proves to be so is another matter.
It's hardly the sort of stuff meriting any further in-depth analysis.
He did as well didn't. I forgot they were in Champions League it was that short.
Ooh burn!
We don't score enough and we don't defend well enough. We are where we should be.
Are you happy with it, Kiko? There's no doubt he has to stay regardless of how this season turns out as if Man United are to get back into shape then they can't keep swapping and changing. It would be interesting to hear from someone who has worked at the club for years under Ferguson etc. Losing the Class of 92 then big players like Vidic, Evra, Ferdinand and co, different managers coming in with completely different personalities (albeit all labelled defensive managers before and after....), I imagine it doesn't even feel like the same work place any more. Costly signings who for large part have added nothing. Depay and even Martial to an extent who you would expect more from given how much he cost.
The football is better but the quality is still lacking. We rely on Carrick still to get the best out of the team. I don't see any point in not giving Mourinho time to get it right. He knows the team are lacking in key areas and wants to resolve it.
It'll take time but if the football is right , he'll get the time.
Van Gaal wasn't labeled defensive "before and after". Much of the media build up you've mentioned was about his attacking/beautiful Ajax/Barcelona stuff.
They've gone for a short term fix but the problem with that is if the short term doesn't work out you've gained nothing and you're worse off than before.
Which all went for my mate 'LvG' (other than the fact that the players seem to hate Corporate Jose less); but yes, binning him would be pointless.
I find him seemingly ignoring Schneiderlein and Henryk Targaryen a bit odd. They seemingly haven't done anything to sleight him (Schweinsteiger was LVG's man, so was done for as soon as Mourinho was appointed) and we've been crying out for a) a decent midfielder b) a winger who isn't bobbins/Lingard.
Watch us spunk Ł90m on Griezemann next summer though. I'm pretty convinced that's nailed on.
Bastian apparently pissed everyone off because he was given special treatment by van Gaal who allowed him to travel home all the time.
I think it's just a matter of time for Micky.
That makes zero sense
Well that's gone full circle. Wasn't there some faffing with him before he signed for Chelsea?
Matching the bindippers here.
I wish the "You'd be hard-pressed to know which was the Premier League side" cliche needs to do one.
Good game this.
First half was good, but Newcastle are getting mauled by the tigers now.
WOODBUUUUUUUUURN!
Flippin' smashed that in.
I'm a twit
Good. Rather go out than extra time especially with Villa on Satdi.
Come on Newcastle. Let'a have a Rafa-reunion.
We're going to need to freshen up in January, like.
Buggered it.
That was brilliant.
Micky Targaryen
Ibra's knee dead though?
That didn't take long. Though that Utd side tonight is a real indicator of how much of a fall they've had as a club.
The BT team are currently musing on whether or not Hearts' American striker would have been able to vote in the election.
Would he have been able to?
'Nodded on by Joe Dodoo. Or on the basis of that effort Joe Don't Doo.'
Actual line of commentary uttered on BT just now.
'If that was in rugby it would be a try.'
'Yeah but it's not.'
This three man comms team is a thing of real beauty.
Brain fart from De Gea.
Degayer, oops.

Man Utd 1-0 West Ham
Posted at20:3410 minutes to half time and West Ham have had zero shots so far.
David de Gea in the Manchester United goal might as well have had a night off.
I love it when the microphones pick up a chant really clearly, especially when there are swearwords.
You can feel how tense the commentators are.
'In American Football that would be called pass interference.'
'But we're not playing American Football.'
Mickey has shown why he needs to start every fucking game tonight.
Then who celebrates with Paulp Ogba?
They could give Lingard the honorary role as official dab partner.
He just patrols the touchline waiting for an opportunity to dab with Ogba.
That was a lovely worked goal.
Is Antonio Valencia the biggest United legend since Patrice Evra? I say yes.
lol at Morgan Schneiderlin.
I honestly thought Schneiderlin would be great for us.
