Stella gets an unfair amount of shit. It’s no worse than any other mass produced larger. Carling is by far and away the most offensive of that particular family tree.
Lager.
Stella’s the best of the “available on tap in most pubs” lager.
On to happier news. 4 bottles of McEwans No. 1 Champion in the fridge.
I've 8 tins of lovely generic stuff from Aldi.
Second shit in as many hours.
Rheinbacher.
£5.50 pints of staropramen all week at the fringe! :uhoh:
Was on passion fruit Malibu last night. Tasted good!
Also had some Leffe blonde
Had possibly the worst ever pint of Blue Moon in some noisy Glasgow shithole. Probably my own fault for not getting a slice of orange to swirl and slam dunk.
To think of all the good shit sitting in my kitchen.
Going into Glasgow on a Saturday night as a man in his thirties was your mistake.
I wholeheartedly agree. I dunno when the last time was I was in the town centre on a Friday or Saturday night but I was both nights this week and sober to boot and it was a depressing experience, what with jakeys crying and arguing outside McDonald's, couples squawking at each other at taxi ranks, etc. It would have been a sobering experience even were I not already sober.
The Rheinbacher wasn't up to much after but I'd got one bottle of Schöffehofer to try as well and it was lovely stuff.
I didn't know that 6 Degrees North have a bar in Glasgow. And being by Partick station it's not even that much of a pain for me to get to if I'm heading into town anyway.
Yeah they had a couple of fruity ones in the Partick one. 29 taps too. :|
Just imagine how many absolute soppers have claimed to have done all of them in a night.
I'm supping a Carlsberg.
How is Dinkelacker?
I have never heard of it.
Was bought a bottle of Wild Beer Ninkasi the other day and I know I'm drinking it all wrong (going off the shit on the back of it) but it is absolutely brutal. The only good thing about it is the bottle. 750ml as well. Avoid.
Found a bottle of Rittenhouse Rye at the back of the cupboard. Lovely stuff.
Got a bottle of Dead Man's Fingers for £18 from ASDA.
Was it worth it to go in to that hellhole?
At Brewdog having a Black Forest edition of Ten Ton Truck. Imperial stout with chocolate and cherries and that. I could die happy.
Might be having some of that Dinkelacker tonight  so long as it’s not too strong (I’m driving)
I'd a few tubes of Hüfi left and got a couple of some IPA I can't recall the name of on the way home.
I should have remembered, it's named after me (and I'm not clever :henn0rz:)

Got some lovely-sounding dark and Belgian beers in for the weekend from the Quite Excellent Beer Hawk.
Starting off with an 8% stout called Crate Digger. A chocolatey coffee thing. It's ace.
I have a mix of my Beer52 selections left, which are from German and London breweries.
Also, I was drinking Blue Moon last night. Lovely stuff.
No Dinckelacker until next week so ima go hard on it on 13th October (grand final day) when we go the beer festival.
Instead I’ve had two shandies (warsteiner & veltins) and am now on the pepsi max :(
I'd rather a Pepsi Max than this Clever Man.
Would never have imagined you buying something with 'British' on the bottle. Did it burn you when you lifted it?

It actually took a while to find that. The authorities are after us.

I like a Blue Moon but I think of that every sodding time.
Edit: damn it, Jim.
Two Lovejoys is better than one. I see he also showcases the little known speciality ale 'Fullers London Pride' in another episode. Truly a man of the world.
At least it's not that fucking pasta advert.
I don't like Blue Moon.
Never seen that, and like fuck am I watching it now. Beer was good though.
I had two Super Bocks that my adorable 70-something Portuguese customer gave me. He said "Igor, you like...Portugal beer yes? I buy?", I gladly accepted but didn't except him to actually do it. Quite nice.
@Giggles You had Boyne's sherry cask Imperial Stout? Really nice.
Not tried it yet but I had a few of their Session IPA a few weeks back and it was the nicest one I've ever tasted. I think they're fairly new but been meaning to get more of their stuff.
The session IPA is weirdly fizzed, more like the way a sparkling wine is than a beer, and it's all the nicer for it.
