Chelsea should play some sort of diamond. Palmer's really good in that 10 role, but Caicedo and Gallgher are much better as '8s' than 'double 6s' or whatever you call them in this system. 3 at the back is still annoyingly the formation that suits the whole team. Every centre back Chelsea have is suited to playing the ‘wife’ centre back role. Chilwell is obviously only useful when making late runs and not being in the build up at the back. All the wingers at the club are dreadful so playing as narrow ‘10s’ also makes a whole lot of sense with Palmer and Chukwuemeka doing that until Nkunku comes back for a couple games.Quote:
